Booked a class and the instructor was very discouraging. Every time we asked for help she would just repeat herself without explaining more in depth. She wasn’t very friendly either, I wasn’t going to say anything but paying over $200 for that was not okay. We also spent 30 minutes after and we’re only given 5 options for colour and allowed to keep two pieces. Everything was super rushed. When we went to pick it up weeks later. A different girl told us we needed an appointment to pick up our stuff. She then closed the door and walked away. We went back and asked for our stuff, then she gave it to us.

A very fun and welcoming studio! I came with zero pottery experience, and was lucky to have Gabrielle as my instructor for a beginner wheel throwing course. She is a very dedicated teacher, and really cares about helping her students to develop not only their skills for throwing, but also their love and appreciation for clay. Would absolutely recommend!

I loved the beginner wheel class so much, I took it a second time!! Both teachers (Myriam and Gabrielle) were excellent. For someone without prior pottery experience, I found the class and studio very welcoming and a great place to learn!! Can't wait to take more classes and workshops here.

Really cute studio & great instructors! :) I recommend this place to anyone interested in learning more about clay & wheel throwing. I started out knowing nothing, and now I am progressing and making cute items! Great for de-stressing & letting your creative side shine.

I’ve just finished my 2nd 8 week wheel course and am definitely feeling very proud of my finished objects! The classes and teachers are very welcoming and fun, and the community studio has a calm and focused atmosphere. I’m looking forward to continuing to build my skills with workshops and classes.

Took my beginner wheel in the summer! Megan was awesome. The studio is so cute and aesthetic filled with plants. Very efficient workspace would definitely recommend starting out here! Only thing is the glazing workshop isn’t included in wheel classes.

I have taken a number of classes with Myriam and have loved the experience. Myriam walks the fine line between offering plenty of guidance and giving students the space to figure things out on their own. She is warm, welcoming, and patient. I came in with no experience and feel like I've really learned the fundamentals that will set me up to have a good practice moving forward.

I started with Community Clay via an 8 week course where we learned the basics of throwing, and have since moved to the membership model. Gabrielle, the owner and my class instructor, was lovely and helpful - always telling funny and interesting stories throughout the class. The vibe of the studio is great for creativity - with plants everywhere and plenty of likeminded individuals. Excited to improve as I continue my practice :)

Deciding to take courses at community clay was one of the best decisions I ever made. I’ve taken 2 wheel courses so far; both with Myriam; and I absolutely intend to take more. Myriam is an extremely talented potter and teacher, I found that she gave very thorough demonstrations and easy to understand instruction. The class sizes aren’t very big either so it’s very easy to get help when you find yourself confused or stuck. As a bonus, Myriam is also funny and an absolute delight to be around. I found myself looking forward to my pottery class each week and I’m continuing to look forward to taking another when I get the chance.
