This place has cult like behaviour. Everyone is “clicks” they actively manipulate sermon to push tithing and tith shaming meanwhile there are multiple pastors making 200 k easy a year. They are legally labelled as a charity purely because they preach the word of god but don’t do any charity work for its congregation. They actively make people disavow their family and friends if they don’t go to their church. The members worship the pastor rather then god himself. If you disagree with how a sermon is pushed with good reason you are demonized. It’s a nice church but the people running it seem truly evil

If you are reading this message I want you to know you are not alone! This church may have made you feel like they were all you had but that was a lie! You are a beautiful force of nature and this destructive cult can no longer harm you.The Pastors Beat There Kids As Punishment. They spank there kids and condemn you if you don't give money! Stand Strong My Fellow Brothers And Sisters! Avoid Jackens corruption his kids stay perfect because they are punished for being out of line. FREE YOUR FAMILY FROM THIS EVIL CORPORATION!They will take your darkest pain and use it against you to enforce there need for money!Do me one favor (Do not share your pain with them) they will use it against you once you try to leave!

Definitely got culty, red flag vibes from this place. A few things that stood out to me were:Most importantly, I didn't hear the gospel. If you can go to a Christian church on any given Sunday and the gospel is not clearly presented, something is desperately wrong.The fog machines and the light show during the worship time. They were singing about Jesus, but I couldn't tell if they were more into Jesus or more into making a production/experience" out of what should be a sacred time to worship God. I mean filming the singers and putting them on the big screens? What?The money. This organization clearly collects or appears to have a lot of money. There's nothing wrong with having a lot of money

Home Church AMAZING. This is the place that my life changed years ago. My kids have grown up here. It's safe and loving and welcoming. It's full of people from all walks of life, and the heartbeat of the church being EVERYONE needs Jesus and EVERYONE needs a home really means EVERYONE.

Alright , so for all of you hypocrites out there coming and shaming everyone and the church itself. Grow up… sure maybe some things are said differently than other churches. But that doesn’t mean you can just throw fire at the church. Quit being immature, stop sharing your life stories with pastors. If you don’t like it. Simply go somewhere else right? There are more than 1 church in this town.Another thing.Stop complaining about the fog machine and lights. Look at elevation church and hillsong and TONS of other churches around red deer and Canada and the world!!!!STOP having a problem with it. It is simply for ATMOSPHERIC setting. Not concert. It is for setting the mood and making a bit better for experiences.Aaaand another fact.Churches do not force you to give your money.. there has never been a moment in this church where an usher or pastor has FORCED someone to give their money.Now now.. pastor mel can get wound up and tell you to tithe but he isn’t reaching in your pocket for it. So enough is enough!it is YOUR choice to Tithe. AND it says In Matthew 23:23, Jesus warns against focusing too much on the rules of tithing without paying attention to the more important things like justice, mercy and faithfulness. Bottom line? You should be giving in some way. But tithing is more of a spiritual topic than a financial one.And how bout another one for all you church goers?The new building. HahaCrazy hey?Who knew, that having the funds after 51 years would build a brand new facility to host some big names and the word of God in??This new building is a NEW vision. The old has gone the new has come. Why be so caught up in the same cycle? Jump out of that hateful box you’re in and maybe join in and be faith lead.I know a lot of people have left home church because of the pastoral views and scenes but that doesn’t only happen here. It happens everywhere. No church is perfect. Nobody is perfect.This new building is going to bring in so many people, so many artists, so much talent, and this place is also being used for city events, and Christian artist tours.Yes we will have the sound and lighting and everything needed to host specific events.So stop being so jealous, if you call yourself a Christian, then freakin act like it, love on people, love the churches, maybe switch it up every once in a while. Just stop putting the church down. It’s disgusting behaviour. And I could assure you God doesn’t like it. Be blessed in every way!

You want the watered down version of the gospel?, they love idol worship and base series off Pastors or (campaigns as they like to call them ) just so they can get money for that new building they won’t be able to fill. They preach the gummy bear..lollipop self-help messages.. they listen to secular music and yet are called to be set apart. This entire church contradicts what they believe and preach. They don’t teach the full word of God nor read the full context of scripture. WAKE UP!!!! Places like Hillsong and Elevation and Home Church are all alike

I will share my experience as someone who attended this place with my parents for years. We went here the last 3~4 or so years on and off after moving nearby. This started out with an unusually warm welcome and very friendly group on the surface. Everything seemed like a great Church to settle down at. Then the encouragement to attend additional support groups and events is kind of when we started to notice them trying to separate and segregate sin from sinners" and our money from our pockets. The pressure to constantly give or tithing became more apparent than any other church we have attended. The focus began to take a financial aspect

They don't even deserve one star nothing good has come out of going to this church. All they care about money they don't care about people.

This place really doses feel like home i have went into many churches and this one by far i feel gods present in this home. Sorry I have read all the reviews I am very disappointed reading. I have been attending this church since I was 11years of age I am now 34 I have never had anyone take all my money or any at all from this church. It is your choice to put in to help if you want or if you can if I have $5.00 in my pocket at that point it's my choice to put it in no one came to me telling me I half to give that $5.00 to the church. Never have cash with me when I go anywhere so I barely put money into the basket. I go cause I need to here the conversations about god and the bible. So I am not complaining.... if you went to the sacred heart church that place you can feel the devil's presence I have and will never step foot back into that church the priest there preached about his finances and how the church helps him so the differences here is you can feel the presence of the lord
