Revera Burloak Long Term Care Home

I can’t say enough about the care. RPN’s, PSW’s, kitchen, house keeping, management. Stevenson House you rock. My mother got the best care in her short time that she was there. Not only was she cared for but so were we as a family. I never felt like I was inconveniencing them. They worked with a smile and truly care for the clients that live there. ❤️Nellie Joyce family

Quiet,clean,secure,friendly

The place seemed nice and I had a question about sending my mother there. I called and left a message and it took exactly TEN days to return my call. I've contacted at least ten LTC facilities and the only two that didn't answer the phone were both Revera and they both took an unacceptably long time to return my call. By then I'd already had to submit my choices. (I wonder how many days it would take them to find my mother lying on the floor?) I didn't want to rate the facility because basing it on the actions of one or two people isn't fair. Unlike some of the other reviewers I see above.Update: The Executive Director reached out and was very apologetic. I'd rather people based their opinion on actual experience with the home rather than my small interaction. I'm adding a star because of this, even though I didn't want to actually rate the facility, I merely wanted to describe my one interaction.

Incredible resting home for those most in need.Over 10 years of unbelievably empathetic and loving care for my mother by the personal support workers, nurses who always kept us informed of her overall health and wellness with amazing kindness, and the doctors who were always thorough and patient.I have yet to mention the kitchen staff who will always accommodate any special requests, the activity team who will let you know what your loved one is enjoying whether it be the Burlington Mall or Royal Botanical Gardens visits or joining in sing songs, winning at Bingo or making a new friend.From the front desk to those behind the scenes everyone always seems to be so very invested in making everyone's day a great one even if you're just dropping in.On behalf of my mothers family and friends we thank each and every one of you.

My father has been at this facility for 7 months. I am so pleased with the staff, activities, and the cleanliness of this place. The staff are very friendly and very dedicated to the residents and have made living there as comfortable as they can for my father. They have set up an area in the sun room for my father to paint and get him involved in as many activities as they can. I am so grateful that my father was able to get into Burloak. Burloak was my first choice and I have absolutely no regrets at all. I give this place a 5 star rating.

The home is awesome, and some of the staff are fabulous to work with, however there is a lady who oversees the covid19 vaccination for the healthcare workers who is very rude to the agency staff whom support thier residents. As person and someone who works with people she ought to respect others. Kindness would not kill her especially in these times

My husband Gordon Goodchild was in LTC in Breckon House for a little over 3 years. The love, care and kindness from all staff especially the nurses was second to none. My husband loved his home, his room and the staff, he never had a complaint in all the years he was there. In my heart of hearts I believe that this facility is the best in Ontario. The staff know all residents and speak to them by name; there are programs to meet all resident's needs; the doctors are always on call; the building is so clean and the maintenance staff are fantastic; the kitchen staff are always friendly and provide excellent service. My husband passed in Palliative Care and the attentiveness of all staff was remarkable. Not only was my spouse kept free of pain and always comfortable, but I was looked after just as well. There will never be enough kind words for me to say Thank you" to the most loving

Cannot say enough about this place. My father who had advanced Parkinson's and unfortunately lost his battle on May 14th, 2019 was treated like a god.Stevenson house and their care givers are second to none. Never and I say NEVER did I walk into Stevensons house, see my father and worry at any time of how he was being treated : physically, mentally or psychologically.Top people who truly cared for my ailing father in his declining years. Yes, years he was a resident for close to 6 years.To all the workers at Burloak, thank you for taking care of my father and treating him like he was your father. God bless.
