Saboo Restaurant

Popped in for Dinner late on a Wednesday night and was very pleasantly surprised! Ordered the Pizza and wings and they where both excellent. Wings where of premium quality, plump and juicy. Pizza was loaded with cheese and excellent toppings. Ordered a few beers to wash the food down with and they where nice and fresh. No taste of mold in the lines for the beer at all. Restaurant was spotlessly clean, service was excellent and prices fair for the quality of food. The owners are working hard and have invested a lot to bring a new great option to our neighbourhood. Go grab a meal there and support these folks!, your stomach will be happy you did

I had Chicken Kebab and I loved it. The chicken was tender and juicy, flavoured with saffron and lemon. The crispy part of the rice was so delicious, different from all others that I've had.The staff are so nice and friendly. Will visit again for sure.

Saboo Persian/Italian restaurant recently opened on Main Street in North Vancouver, there was a Chinese restaurant in this location for more than 60 years before that. We tried their both Italian and Persian food, the quality and taste if food was really good. There are dedicated parking in the back side.

This restaurant has been open less than a year and is run by a husband and wife team - I chose it based on how highly it was rated. So welcoming, they made you feel like family - and so happy to explain the dishes, how the sumac is used (it was in a little shaker on the table), and had a couple of us try the Persian salted yoghurt beverage. I chose the Kabob Vazeri - one lemon saffron kabab and one koobide (ground meat kabab), accompanied by traditional tachin (Persian saffron rice). The food was perfect and so flavourful. We all loved this place - will definitely return when on the North Shore again! I read in the reviews afterwards that there is parking behind the restaurant.My only recommendation would be to have each entree come with a tiny portion of the scallion yoghurt dip :)

I don't really know how to say how happy I was to find this restaurant in Vancouver, I've been to many restaurants in Seattle and Vancouver, but this was the best experience Very clean and modern environment with excellent service from Mrs. Akram, who was the owner of the restaurant herself. I found this place on google and I wished it was good because I wanted to go there with my parents. After they served our food, I was very happy that I made the best choice. If you want to have a wonderful experience of Iranian kebabs, be sure that this will be the best option. Thank you, Mrs. Akram

I certainly can say the best Kebab and Chicken kebab in Great Vancouver. There is no word to describe the taste of crispy rice coming with the Dine in order, I can just say so very fabulous.I have tried a bunch of Persian restaurants, but this one is unique based on quality, quantity, environment, welcome, and definitely the reasonable price.A friendly reminder to those on a losing diet; I highly recommend you forget here since not only the food is so tasty, but it is also too hard to say no to dessert including Baklava, ice cream, and pie.Special appreciation to the owner for preparing this atmosphere.You are amazing! What a find! So, it’s a little hard to find the parking (on a main road - you need to go to their back door) and it was a bit quiet as we are the only ones there in a Tuesday night, but my oh my, worth the effort. Their rating is well deserved.We had their Kabab Koobide ($19)2 Skewers of Saffron Marinated Ground Beef & Rice, and their breaded shrimp (8 pieces) we shared this between two of us and it was plenty unless you’re starving. The rice was incredible saffron crunch in the top. The meat was really tasty and tender. Follow the advice to sprinkle some of the sour salt spice on top.The dipping sauce for the prawns wasn’t my favourite but the shrimp more than made up for that. Nice draft beer as well. Very friendly service. Can’t recommend enough. We’ll be back for certain.

Despite living in Vancouver, we make the journey to North Vancouver every week because the food and service here are simply unparalleled.Owned by a warm and welcoming family, it exudes an inviting atmosphere from the moment you step inside. They go above and beyond to provide the highest quality service, making us feel like valued guests every time we visit.When it comes to the food, it truly stands out with a wide range of authentic Persian dishes, each prepared with fresh and flavorful ingredients. In addition, the cozy ambiance adds to the overall dining experience.This family-owned restaurant has won our hearts with its exceptional service, fresh and flavorful food, and inviting ambiance. Starting with the atmosphere, it’s designed beautifully to make you feel like you’re dining in luxury, open space and gives you a comfortable and warm feeling to sit. They have air conditioning as well which makes eating comfortable on the hotter days.The owners are two lovely humans who have the kindest hearts. I got the privilege to get to know them and they are both experienced chefs and have extensive background in cooking. It’s also great to learn that all their ingredients are selectively chosen to be higher grade quality (when you eat the food you can tell the difference between similar restaurants and here). I love that they are ran by a mom and pop who are husband and wife whom love to serve people real food. After all food is meant to be nutritious.The food itself is always fresh, always comes out hot which means it’s made to order and I personally really appreciate that. I suggest ordering appetizers or salads while you wait for your main course to be made for you and the variety of both Italian and Persian dishes gives it a great selection. The pastas are to die for as the sauces are freshly made.In conclusion, I welcome with open arms someone who took the time and investment to create a place like this for our North Shore community where families and individuals can go and find a taste of happy again in the midst of a fast paced world it’s refreshing to have this in our backyard.Thank you to the owners of Saboo and I am happy to support you and your lovely family. Restaurant was tucked away and we probably would have driven right by it. Glad we stopped in for a bite. We ordered the chicken, ground beef and beef tenderloin. The food was delicious (our favourite was the ground beef), the owner was very friendly and the place was clean. Food was a bit on the pricey side but I would definitely come back to try the other dishes.
