Shoppers Drug Mart

This store only earned more than 1 star when they were the only shoppers in town open 24/7 365 days a year. Now they don’t even do that anymore. It’s a small location with only one cashier. Lacking more products than most stores, and everything is pricier. The kind of store where a individual bottle of pop costs more than the 2L at another store. These prices were fine when they were open at really convenient times, but that is no longer the case.

Love this pharmacy but do not appreciate the push on self check-outs at all.

Will never fill a prescription here ever again. It appears like everyone experiences the same issues with unpleasant staff and it being nearly impossible to get through on the phone and has been for years. You can expect to spend the majority of your day calling and not able to get through. Not sure who has the time to do this. The response from Shoppers Customer Care to call their 1-800 line doesn’t seem to be helping fix any of these issues since the same exact problem have continued to occur for years.

By far the worst pharmacy experience I've had. Its next to impossible to get anyone on the phone, if you even manage to get through to the automated system. Most of the time it just says line busy. It's very important for me to be able to get through to my pharmacy because of my son's condition. Unfortunately I'm stuck with this location for my sons meds to be compounded but as soon as he can take a pill I want to never think about this place again.

This pharmacy has a stigma problem. They yell ‘CODE 3’ down the pharmacy (so obvious and stigmatizing) when ever my girlfriend would get her methadone and made her sign paperwork regarding her behaviour, etc. of course, they don’t make other people sign contracts for other medications. they failed to tell her over the weekend that her trillium had run out so she would have to pay, running up a bill. When I brought her the end of the day they told her she couldn’t get her methadone because she had to pay for it AND the bill from the weekend. No notice. We only had $20 in the truck so now she sick as a dog. They know how sick someone can get when they miss their dose. They didn’t mind giving it for two days without cost though. And they know how important it is to make your dose or you will get very sick. No care for her as a human being at all. Shame on you.

Very slow and waited 5 days for a drug that was supposed to be done in 2. Edit....then they kept a drug that was supposed to be kept in the fridge on the counter. Also you can sit on the phone for hours waiting for someone to pick up. Literally the worst pharmacy I have seen and I have lived all over Canada. Talking to my vet about switching pharmacies

Idk who the clerk working the phone is right now but the fact that I actually got through on my second call and then she picked up within 3 minutes was flabbergasting. I usually try a good 18 - 25 calls before it even rings, then the call is usually dropped on their end while on hold or I’m on hold for 30mins - 1 hour. Someone please give this young woman a raise. I was about 3 calls away from moving my business to Walmart.

Although the phone line is annoying, the pharmacist was very helpful in responding to my questions about a new prescription. Thank you .March 22 : Shout out to Yves the pharmacist. Provided an in-depth assessment of my current medications and provided me with excellent guidance . Definitely 5/5 Ty again .

Horrible with answering phones! I suggest doing the automated refill line or go in person! Sometimes I go in and see them not doing anything just watching the phones ring. Terrible! If I could rate zero I would!
