Thank you with all my heart and soul to all the women who work at the Transition House. And to all the brave and courageous survivors who are showing me that I am not alone and that you understand. Your support and guidance have been tremendous in one of the hardest times in my life. You have been heaven sent to me and in my life. I just needed to truly be ready to take 100% responsibility to no longer be a victim. I am finding my voice and authenticity more than ever with all your guidance, help and support. It's a place for battered women in mentally and physically abusive partnerships, some advice, don't take any belongings with you that you value you may not see it again ....there are several other women living in the house that have children and they cannot afford to buy the things others might, and from personal experience don't take anything there ... Your stuff will be givin away ....I got bk to my old residence and half of everything I did get bk was taken out of my suitcases clothing I bought in Halifax ....couldn't believe this is a place for abusive relationships for women n yet there suppose to help but instead only taking ....I found this very distur
