Most customers here on review are returning customers and may have a different experience but as a new customer I must say for a customer service driven business Jack Chow falls short. From rude service to mediocre explanations and to pushy sales of life insurance Jack chow insurance needs to reconsider hiring standards.Edit: Was contacted about the situation and was happy of how it was dealt with.

Jack Chow Insurance is not just an insurance agency. It also offers notary services and handles real estate conveyances, mortgage registrations and business transactions. The office is managed by Reg Chow. This gentleman is not only very good at what he does, in my opinion he is the best. I phoned his office early Saturday morning an hour before the office opened; Reg Chow personally answered the phone.If you call around to any office or insurance company, you're not going to find any live person answering the phone before the office opens. Even after the office opens, you might spend half an hour on hold before anyone takes the call. Not because they are busy with more important things but because they are not as good at prioritizing the customer's needs and wants. Reg Chow puts the customer first. To me, that means a lot. Because I'm the customer.Notaries and insurance agents are plentiful in Vancouver and the surrounding municipalities. On the whole, they are all the same and interchangeable, delivering the same services and products with an equal standard of proficiency. But having recently had the benefit of Reg Chow's experience and professionalism, I know for a fact that such an assumption is a fallacy. He's in a class all by himself. In all those years that I brought my business to someone else, I should have come here.It's a very special experience that Reg and his staff give you -- the experience that they are truly looking after you. They will take the time to talk to you; they will share their expertise with you, even if you're not paying very much. My impression is they enjoy a convivial rapport with their clients, most of whom will return over and over again.I would highly recommend Reg Chow and his firm to anyone and everyone who needs a notary or any type of insurance. For the simple reason that they did a great job for me and I felt entirely comfortable with them. If this review is too long, I can summarize it in one sentence: Reg Chow exemplifies tiptop efficiency.

I went to sort out some insurance business this morning and felt safe due to the glass booths that they have at the Sam Kee building (contactless). I received warm and friendly service. He was very patient with my questions and explained everything clearly. During this pandemic, this has been a safe and pleasant experience! I was even gifted a new untouched pen to sign the papers- how thoughtful =) If you need to deal with any of these services during this time, this is the safest place to go!

I just find that this place is interesting because it is a very thin building, (only 6ft). Which makes it have the Guinness World Record, (or close).

My family has dealt with Jack Chow insurance for decades. I had the pleasure of meeting with Barbara Chow for my house insurance. She's quick to the point and will do her best to give you the best rate. She even went as far to find a lower rate since I had other family members moving in. Great service from the owner Rod! I came minutes before closing and yet he was more than happy to serve me. He was extremely polite, kind, and knowledgable with all my inquiries and making sure I chose the right options for my car insurance. Not to mention their unique building that is a sight to see! Will definitely be coming back here for all my insurance needs despite being able to renew insurance online now.
