Well-maintained ferry and very good food on boardThe Vancouver Island Link bus agency has an information and help desk in the arrival area.The lady we had Charlie is an incredible woman! Extremely kind and a good listener who will try as hard as she can to help.This woman deserves all the love in the world

Really fun way to get around with beautiful sights, clean restrooms, good restaurant on board and kids play area. Couldn't really ask for more.

We again opted to drive-in to the terminal and buy our ticket there, rather than online reservation. Not only was it $15 less expensive but we were not stressed out to be at the terminal at a certain time. I guess this is possible because we still do arrive early enough for the next sailing.

The terminal is very organized with shopping center (food, clothes, ice cream and more) and little playground for children. The ferry has restaurant and nice kids zone. The reason i gave 4 stars is that they don't have enough sailing and the gap between the sailing is too long. Also I don't understand why it's not possible to order all the tickets in advance and you have to order in place as part of a waiting list.

Long lineups. Staff not properly trained on commercial units. After 38 years of hauling the exact same configuration of trailer, they tried telling me I couldn't get on the boat. Then, once again, throw in a reservation system that won't let me book a spot, and I'd say they have a big service problem. As a commercial driver, the last thing I want or need to see, is a notice that someone will call me within 72 hours, to confirm my spot on a ferry. Business doesn't work like that! Nice to see that the tourists get treated better than the commercial units do. And I LIVE on Vancouver Island.

Efficient check-in, friendly staff, and our sailing was on time - a pleasant surprise over the holiday weekend.For some constructive feedback, I would suggest better grounds maintenance at the terminal: several trees were dead or dying (my husband used to install irrigation systems and pointed out that the ones at the terminal were poorly positioned). These trees provide welcome shade and a cool place to stand/sit under on sweltering summer afternoons, along with visual beauty. The terminal staff kindly put out water bowls for pets, so it would be satisfying to see equal care given to the flora onsite.The tree in the photo could recover if its roots receive a deep soak. Thanks in advance for improving grounds care for a more attractive terminal!

As Ontario residents, this was our first time traveling to Vancouver Island so we weren't sure what to expect. Great experience. Minutes from downtown Vancouver. It was well organized and simple to board by car. Well maintained and clean facilities. Excellent breakfast available onboard. Comfortable, spacious seating. Departure Bay Terminal had a very nice market if you arrive to the terminal early. Food, shops and washrooms are available there.

Desperately needs more sailings/ alternative options for local residents! This service is clearly catered towards the tourism industry. We don't need advertising, we don't need 2 beers, we don't need entertainment. We need consistent, reliable salings and to keep costs down for island residents! Remember this is more than just a ferry service, it's a major highway that connects nearly a million island residents with the rest of the country.

I have traveled BC Ferries for 54 years! I have no complaints so far! As the numbers of passenger use grows, I think our terminals need to grow, especially Tsawwassen. If the employees can't get to the terminal to work then that's a problem.I think it would be nice to have nap" loungers in a quiet zone on the ferry for those

Did the job. I got a friendly cashier. The rest seems like they don't care. High paying steady jobs. Facilities lack luster and no caring. Simply a government facility. And very very expensive. More rust on the gangway than ever. Socialism effects felt here.
