Fondy Heating & Air Conditioning

I found out the hard way about Fondy heating and air's unfair, unprofessional business practices. Take caution do yourself a favor and call one of the 20 plus other heating and air conditioning services in Fond du Lac county. After being over charged and try to resolve this billing mistake with an very unprofessional lady by the name tammy I requested to speak with the owner Mr. David Larson I just kept getting Mr. Larson is not in. tammy made it clear that Mr. Larson was never going to be available or return my calls. At this point I had to get my attorney involved. Just not worth the headaches and aggravation. I have since then used one of Fondy heating and air's competitors for my heating and air conditioning needs without issue. ABSOLUTELY one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. STEER CLEAR FONDY HEATING AND AIR IS NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR HARD ERND MONEY WHEN YOU NEED SERVICE!!!!!! PS: Mr. Larson you can thank tammy for the great review you just got she did you dirty on this one.

RUN!!!! I would give zero stars if I could.Absolute worst customer service from “Tammy” when I called to have my AC looked into. Made me feel as if I was inconveniencing her by calling on a Friday afternoon.Technician Nate came Tuesday and said our AC condenser hose was plugged which pooled into our furnace and filter compartment. Nate then stated that it happens all the time and wanted to look at unit outside. Less than 3 minutes later, Technician Nate was seen leaving my property.With many questions, I called Fondy Heating for answers as to what the diagnosis was as water was still pooling up and filter was saturated. Tammy informed me that she had no idea and couldn’t speak with me because she needed to assist another customer. Approximately 10-15 minutes later, Tammy called me back informing me that Technician Nate said that my issue was fixed.I informed her that it most certainly was NOT fixed as I still had water from my AC leaking onto my furnace. I also asked if Nate was planning on returning to replace the saturated air filter as I was concerned of mold. Tammy said she believed Nate when he said it was fixed and had no answers for me about the filter.I informed her at that moment that I was contacting another company to fix our AC as Fondy Heating clearly doesn’t care.

Was not on time and did not call to notify me of the delay. Instead I found out when I called the company to find out what happened to the agent who was scheduled to come to my house. Will be looking for another company to service our heating and air conditioning due to the lack of communication and punctuality.

Nothing bad to say. Needed a furnace at my friends house. They were very professional and very prompt. The home owner was very impressed. Furnace installed in just a few short hours. Price was very reasonable. Saved a couple grand not using another company. Excellent warranty..thank you..Brad Sessions

I called to have my A/C checked out due to the A/C running for 10-13 hours non stop.They were professional and quick to show up, but I asked for my appointment to be scheduled for a specific date. They ended up showing up a day earlier and I had to make arrangements to get someone to my home quickly so my system could be serviced.The technician was only at my home for roughly 30 minutes and never stepped inside my house, and did not opened the A/C unit. He checked voltage and Freon levels, then stated everything appeared to be in working order and just had to charge it will Freon.l, and it's been running non stop due to the heat. Unfortunately this did not fix it running for so long.A couple days later I found a dead mouse on top of the AC unit, which prompted me to open up the unit. The fins were filthy and ended up having a mouse nest inside. I cleaned out the unit myself and my long running times were resolved, only running in small intervals.I called to see if it was standard practice to not open the unit and clean or inspect it, but I was told that, on service calls opening and cleaning the unit is not done. I think for paying roughly 200 dollars for a service visit that should entail the unit being open and at least observed and told it needs to be cleaned. Especially since a dirty A/C unit is a major driver for making them run too long. If this is the standard for them I will not be using their services again. At least everyone I talked to was incredibly polite.

Ryan came to fix my Aprilaire humidifier. He was very polite, called ahead of time to let me know he was within 10 minutes of my home. He took time to show me what the problem was and had it running in very little time. Thanks Ryan!!

I have never written an online review before but after the horrible service I received from Fondy Heating & Air it was required. Had them come do a furnace clean & check in which I had no issues on the furnace. After the guy came out a day later we noticed water leaking out of the furnace. When I called to have them come back to check, the lady on the phone was rude saying “is it that bad because we are busy”. The guy came out a few days later and noticed the trap hose cracked and said “sorry it could have happened when I put the hose back on from the cleaning”. He ordered new hose and came back a few days later. Received both bills for the service check and the hose replacement with no discount and full charge on everything. When I called to discuss the charges again the same lady was rude. I was upset that the service guy should have realized that the hose cracked when he placed it back on, this would have required one less service call in which I would not have paid for. I do not recommend to use this company if you have a choice.

Here goes, very disappointed with the company from the owner down to the service tech Ryan. My wife and I have used the company for business purposes to inspect and clean furnaces. We asked them about taking other business on but they said that due to labor shortages they would not be able to meet our demand. Long story short they came over to do maintenance on a furnace in a VACANT property. They preformed the work they thought was necessary said they verified the heat was working and left. Thankfully I’m reluctant on blindly trusting work that if not done right can cost thousands of dollar in damage (I.e. frozen water pipes and damage because a professional tech failed to verify a furnace was on and functioning before leaving). After getting to the home with no one there and no heat was on, I called Allison at the office and informed her of the situation. Fast forward 4 hours later with no one reaching out or fixing the issue I called after hours to the on call tech. Funny enough, Ryan, the tech that was at the property picked up. I told him of the issue and he had taken absolutely no accountability of his work being the problem and said he did verify heat was on before leaving. After naming off a list of issues he said it could be besides his work, because he was a “10 year experienced hvac tech”, the conversation digressed. Having a weird feeling that it was to coincidental that the furnace was not working just after he left and him mentioning that it was not because of his work I took a look at it. He cut a hole in the air return to create more airflow. He asked me to pick up the vent because I am a capable contractor and he did not have one on van. I picked up the vent that he did not install, I installed it and the furnace fired right up. His hole without a vent installed caused the furnace to pull too much air and did not fire up because of that. At no point was it mentioned that the vent not being installed would prevent the furnace from operating. This is further proof that he did not check his work. Two points here, Ryan left a vacant property without checking his work and no heat was on. The problem was 100% his fault and would have been the company’s responsibility if the pipes would have burst. Second point, I had to baby sit work done by a licensed contractor. I communicated an issue and only after multiple attempts reaching out they got back to me. No responsibility was taken at all.I asked to speak with the owner and left a message, go figure I have not received a call back. I would have foregone writing this review if I would have received a call back. Unfortunately, we will not be using them for anything else even though our previous dealings with them were good.

This company was great to begin with!They took all info on the phone and gave me an estimate via phone--didn't even need to send anyone out to the house.Service guys we're on time, thorough, and just great overall! The new furnace is sooo much better than the old, and it was $2000.00 cheaper than the local competitor! --for the same kind...Would recommend this company any day!!
