I was here on a Saturday and I would recommend this place as you can find great items if you search for them. The cashier was amazing, she was super friendly and knowledgeable--she knew about different brands in the bins that we showed to herMy only complaint is they have no fitting rooms and all sales are final however if you ask the cashier, she will offer you measuring tape as a substitute.Everything is 4.99$ per pound so you don't need to worry about the price tag.I love my finds and the costumer service is excellent! I will definitely be back.

wanted to check out this place before it got more well known and popular! the selection is a hit or miss (as it's not like a curated vintage thrift shop), they do have some hidden gems but you have to search a bit. note there is a 5lb minimum (they tare the weight of the cart so the pound only includes the clothes) but if you happen to find some stuff, you can easily pass the 5lb minimum. the bins are quite large and separated in categories (though sometimes people toss things into the adjacent bins) so most of the time you have a bin to search by yourself. i found a pair of Levi 501 jeans and some cute pieces for a very reasonable price. definitely set aside some time to look around because you can spend a lot of time digging! they also have huge mirrors for try on (no change rooms) and provide gloves and hand sanitizer in the front so make sure to grab some before searching.note: they apparently restock Monday and Wednesdays so that would probably be the best time to go!

A Great Thrift Store during inflation. I was not able to find any brand-new items. They do have a huge selection of male-female clothes/shoes. Plus, You will see kids' toys and items of luggage. The per lb price is 4.99 CND. Everything is very clean and organized. I felt safe with my family during the covid times. The parking lot is huge but busy all the time. No trial room so bring a measuring tape or know what you really want. Recommended mainly for people who like thrifting. Good customer service.

They finally removed the 5 pound minimum! My clothes were 3+ pounds and it costed me $18+! Found some good finds here, like a Brandy Melville top and a TNA hoodie. However, I had to dig the whole bin for these finds so if you’re visiting, I wouldn’t have my hopes up for finding brands as they were one in every 50 shirts I looked through! The store was quite busy on a Saturday but still enough space to roam around. The men’s selection was lacking as there weren’t many shirts, but the women’s selection is great. There’s a variety of pieces to choose from, especially jeans! I wish they had more shorts/skirts selection for womens because I was mainly looking for summer clothes. They had also a great deal of winter clothes selection, from sweaters to jackets. They also provide gloves and hand sanitizer around! Make sure to double check the weight of your clothes at the register as some of the scales can be broken/tampered with.Overall, a good thrift store and would love to return soon!P.S the location seems sketchy but its safe, and once you go in, its a basement so you’d be away from the outside world ^^

This thrift by the pound is such a hidden gem! Found so many good stuff here and some items still had price tag. They have a great selection of adult clothing, children’s clothing, toys, bags, accessories, shoes and more. They have a minimum 5lbs purchase which wasn’t hard for me to fill since I found so many good stuff. The staff here are so friendly and accommodating. I still wanted to look around even though they’re technically closing. I was rushing to finish and they told me they can give me a few more minutes while they clean up.

Wonderful thrifting experience.I went with friends on a Sunday morning. The place was clean, organized, and staff was friendly/supportive.The music choice was so great we asked for the Spotify playlist. They were kind enough to share!!We even asked for an item not initially on sale yet they were kind enough to offer it to us.Lastly chatting with an employee there she recommended us La Guanaquita for lunch making our day that much better!!Highly recommended for the fellow thrifters.

I had a really great experience in this store! I am a regular thrifter and Shmata had amazing brands and good quality pieces (I snagged an Aritizia sweater in great condition). It was nice that they had options for men, women, and kids. I will definitely be returning and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good deal on some new clothing.

First time here, found it through Tic Toc. They have lots of bins with new and old clothes mixed together. You will have to have time to go through each bin. My wife got 2 new track pants and 2 used ones too. She also picked up 2 hoodies and I got a dress shirt. It's pay by the pound, $4.99 a pound. For all the stuff we got, it cost just a little over $30. Can't beat that! The 2 new items we got was priced more than that. You got to Shop here!

Shmata is a genius idea to sell a variety of stuff by weight. I found many new and fashioned tops to give to people as a donation.

It's great that there's finally a secondhand clothing shop in the Jane-Finch area. I went on a busy Saturday, when the majority of thrifters were younger people (young adults and teens) likely from across Toronto/the GTA - definitely due to all the social media marketing! Great to see, however, keep in mind that due to this early popularity it's much harder to find buried gems for women especially! Make sure you allocate enough time (& energy) to shift through the bins.. There's a ton to go through and they're sorted into general categories (ex. children's clothing, Adult jeans, blazers, accessories, women's tops etc.) and everything is sold by weight @ $4.99/lb. I found that women's tops and dresses were more frequently hit (leaving a more disappointing selection) compared to pants and jackets which had more promising finds. Children's clothing was also not rummaged through as much. I'll probably check out the selection again on a quieter weekday after the hype dies down a bit.
