Arbutus Routes
Alastair and Austin were guides on a 5 day trip that me and 3 of my friends took. They were both extremely knowledgeable of the Whistler and surrounding area trails. Both led with great attitudes and bike skills. More importantly, Alastair and Austin were extremely conscientious about safety. I highly recommend them.

Alastair and Austin recently guided us on a 5-day trip that included riding in Whistler, Squamish, Pemberton, and the Whistler Bike Park. While we primarily spent time with Alastair, both guides were excellent. They far exceeded my expectations and essentially served as personal coaches, greatly improving my riding skills. Both Alastair and Austin had fantastic personalities and maintained a light and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the entire week.After a brief jump class at the park, Alastair had us confidently going down A-line and successfully clearing most jumps. Without his guidance, I would never have attempted it on the first day at the park.I highly recommend their services and will definitely request them again when I return to B.C. for more riding!

I booked a half day guided tour with a Yeti bike rental at Arbutus Routes on a recent visit to Whistler. In addition, I rented two mountain bikes and an e-bike on a different day from Arbutus. Starting with my first email inquiry and throughout the entire process, my experience was first rate. Everyone I encountered was friendly and professional. All of my emails were answered in a timely fashion. All four bikes that I rented were in great condition. Lizzie, who was my guide for the three hour tour, was great. She was friendly and helpful. She took me to some local trails that were appropriate for my skill level. She also had some great suggestions for other things to do during our visit to Whistler. Their bike rental and guided tour rates were very reasonable as well. I will recommend them to anyone I know who is visiting Whistler in the summer.

Had a great experience with Arbutus. Did a 3 day rental of a Yeti SB160 enduro bike for the Whistler bike park. The bike was in perfect shape and set up for me. I also had 2 half days with their guide Sam. He was Awesome! I improved so much during my time. He got me over my fears of drops and got my speed up in berms. Would recommend him to everyone.

Had good help on the phone from one of the guys, was able to book with him easy, and then got awesome service on my rental day from Leanne. Appreciated all the good advice from both of them, I definitely got more than just a Bike rental. I appreciate their passion for the hill and riding. They also took the time to ask about my weight and my preferences and they set up the suspension and brakes for me before I arrived.Just one thing, My bike could have used a brake bleed or pads and the seat was loose. Lacking brake power and spongy. I’m sure they would have taken care of this if I had brought it back but I just dealt with it.

We had a fantastic experience with the team at Arbutus. We rented high quality mountain bikes from them and also lined up two separate coaching sessions in the bike park for me and my 11 year old son. Coaches Sam and Lizzie were awesome! Everyone was friendly and helpful in the shop. Alastair made sure we had a great experience. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend these guys if you're looking for a guided ride or hiring bikes. Alistair made everything super easy to get things booked and organised for our visit, we originally had a guided ride booked but enjoyed it and the bikes so much we hired bikes ourselves and did the same trails the day after. We got paired with Kelly on the day of the guided ride who was brilliant, showed us trails that were perfectly suited to our skill and fitness level so meant the day was epic rather than rides where you're getting stretched on the climbs and finding the downs too sketchy. Really can't fault the service they gave us, bikes were awesome and set-up perfect for us with brakes swapped over like rear-left etc. Only minor issue was with the dropper post being slightly too long on my partners hire bike but we're not that uptight these things happen and we still had a great time.

Had an awesome coaching experience with Matthias. Even though the mtn closed the lifts at the beginning of the coach session, he made the most of it, and we still managed to learn tons and was an excellent way to start off our time in Whistler. All the staff at arbutus routes were super awesome too. Would 100% recommend!!

Excellent service! Saved my whistler trip. Not a single shop in whistler was willing to take a look at my bike and wanted it booked in 1 to 2 days later. The team at Arbutus freed up shop time to get me back on the trails and riding right away, despite being fully booked. Thanks for everything guys!

Just got back from a trip planned by Chase epic. The owner in organizer tried his best to ruin our trip. The guides from Arbytus routes, Alastair and Austin saved the day. They did an amazing job at keeping us safe while completing trails we never thought were possible. Instruction was next level. They made the trip fun and the teaching and coaching was well beyond expectation. Whatever they are being paid, it’s not enough. I can’t say enough about the guides. We truly appreciated their teaching and making the trip fun.
