Richard did my daughters sixth Birthday recently and he could not have done a better job. We had 20 kids in one house and he held their attention like nothing I have ever seen and he interacted with each and every one of them. They were all amazed and he had them laughing uncontrollably, which had all of us parents laughing as well. The whole show was very fun. I would absolutely recommend hiring him. We held an outdoor birthday celebration for our 5 year old, and Richard Young's magic performance was the best decision we took! 45 mins of having the full attention of the kids, and having many laughable moments - for both kids and the adults alike. Richard Young the Magician came to our school for two magic performances for our Gr. 1 - 9 students and their families, as well as for four magician workshops for students arranged in grade level groups. Our culminating event was a magic show featuring the students. (Great public speaking opportunity...and an opportunity to practise courage. It was, without exaggeration, magical.)Although we have some pretty remarkable hands-on learning going on in our usual classes and activities, I have never witnessed the sustained level of engagement that I saw on these young people's faces. Often, there were riveted attention, intense questioning, pure wonderment, and sheer joy within seconds of each other. If there had been a gauge for the curiosity in the room, it would have exploded.We highly recommend Richard as a student- and family-friendly entertainer, magic/performance teacher, and inspirer.
