This store is bigger than it appears on the outside. Their selection is much better than other Pet Valus in the neighbouring towns.They offer dog grooming, have live fish for sale, and even a freezer section if you're looking for rodents.

Made a stop while waiting to to pick up my brother from baseball as I had my dog with me. We went in to pick out a treat. Amazing service, they gave Axl some water and gave him so much attention which he loved.

I went there today for a beta fish & the employee was judging me on my choice for it’s home telling me it’s too small. I do not mind the education but there is a difference between education vs. her tone & look she used to judge me. I’ve had beta fish before that last for years & don’t appreciate feeling judged by an employee trying to up sell me on items for a $6 fish when they had 2 dead beta fish on their wall! This beta will have a larger home and not die in the small containers they keep them in. Educate, don’t judge! In the end it’s still my decision. I’ll use the other petvalu moving forward, I find their employees a lot better!

This store is great. The manager is so lovely to talk with. She always helps me. The guy working today helped take my litter out to my truck. The store is clean, doesn't smell, organized and very welcoming. I will be back!

Excellent advice not just for novice owners but long time handlers as well.Nicola, got my dog eating after 3 days of fasting. She was able to provide me, (I've raised cats,dogs,horses,ferrets etc. For over 40 years) a new diet including some treats, to turn my puppy back on. I was literally a couple of hours away from making a vet visit, which A) Costs a bundle.B) More importantly, causes undue stress on my poor girl.Our last dog had an issue with cold feet in the snow so we went there to buy some booties. Their point-of-sale system went down so they just gave them to me and told me to come back tomorrow to pay. They didn't take my phone number but they know me from coming in and out so many times. I don't expect that kind of service except for in small towns, especially like our beautiful town of Uxbridge! The trail capital of Canada!!!

I came in to make a purchase, ran around the store trying to find it. It was getting closer to closing. The girl on staff was giving attention to a guy who was obviously just walking around the store with a bag of pet food slugged over his shoulder. Was like they were hanging out but making it look like business. I definitely didn't get a I'll be with you shortly" or anything

Decided to stop in while waiting on pizza next door. Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Store is nice, clean and great selection! I let my dog pick out a treat while there and they had a wheel large enough for rats! So I got that for my girls.

Stood there for over 10 minutes with 25 pound bag of food at the cash with no help only one other customer in store. The other pet value in bowmanville is 100% better they will let you pay

Went in to see if they could recommend something for my dog for mosquitoes. I live on a farm and my poor fur baby was getting bit alive. They sold a spray to use. I have used it and it's great. Great store knowledgeable employees.highly recommend this store
