Gower Made Bakery

I purchased Chelsea buns, a raspberry pie and a dozen peanut butter cookies today (June 19, 2022). When I got home I tried the Chelsea buns first as I had a craving. They were terrible … overcooked and hard. I tried warming them in the microwave which did nothing to soften them. Next I tried the peanut butter cookies. Again they were rock hard and my elderly mother nearly broke her teeth on them. Finally the raspberry pie. Yuck. I don’t know what you used as a filler but it certainly wasn’t fresh raspberries. The filling was gelatinous. I’m so disappointed with my purchases. I should have purchased something from the Red Dot Café. The products I purchased from the Gower Bakery tasted like they’ve been sitting on the shelf for a week! I was so looking forward to my treats.

Found this place on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022. Bought a number of items including Banana Cream, Lemon Meringue, Apple and last but not least, Blueberry pie. I also picked up the following day carrot cake muffins.All I can say is that these were on par with what my grand-ma makes. This is my new favourite bakery!!If you like baked goods without the huge hassle of making them, go there! Prices are good too! Better than some groceries in some cases.

Had a birthday cake made up for my mom and dad. We weren't able to do a party for them on their 80th due to COVID, but did the best to make up for it with an 80+1.Cake was great and enjoyed by all. Wonderfully decorated and price was quite reasonable.Thanks so much for preparing this for us and looking forward to future purchases.

Great raspberry filled cookies. nominal prices. convenient spot on cycling route. free parking for family rest stops. Don't forget to take the cupcake for the road.

This is by far the best bakery I've been to! My son and I were in today to get a few desserts for Thanksgiving. The ladies are very nice and everything we got is top quality. I definitely recommend going here we will definitely be going back!

I’m a regular here, and I absolutely love their products. Sometimes when I’m having a craving and the store is closed but the lights are still on they always are happy for me to stop by and buy an apple pie which is the best. Highly recommend!!

Just great food and a warm welcoming atmosphere

Great BakeryFound it while running into town to find a sweet. The Cute Artsy Bakery set a beautiful entrance and a Happy Owner to chat with. I enjoyed the small rhubarb pie and bought a loaf of egg bread to bring back to the campsite. My first adventure for the season. What could be better, camping at Rideau River Provincial Park and finding an awesome Bakery with tasty treats.

Honest, tasty bakery in NG, always a treat to see what they have on the shelf!

Love this bakery. Have visited a few times now and always walk out with a bag full of delicious goodies. Bonus: they don’t ask for a “Tip” at the register.
