Northfield Dental Clinic

I came to Northfield Dental after having a horrible experience with a hygienist at another dentist in Nanaimo. They were absolutely terrific, the complete opposite of my previous experience. I have had a lot of dental appointments over the years, but they were checking for things in my cleaning appointment that have never been checked before (my jaw and neck)! My follow up appointments have been terrific as well. I recently called in after being up all night with a horrible toothache and they offered me an appointment in the next 15 minutes!! I feel like that is unheard of! If you are considering a change, definitely give Northfield a try!

Such a bright, modern clinic. You feel welcome and relaxed as soon as you walk through the front door. The front staff are friendly and very efficient.This was our first visit and we were treated by Dr. Wilston, such a pleasant and knowledgable man. Certainly happy we chose this clinic and highly recommend it.

Excellent clinic. It had been a very (VERY) long time since I’d last seen a dentist/had a cleaning, and the staff were all so kind and didn’t make me feel any shame about having let it go for so long. Dr Wilston is very kind, and Sarah was a magician with my teeth cleaning appointments. Very happy to have found them.

Northfield Dental has kind, friendly staff who take great care of their patients. Chris has even managed to get my son to feel more comfortable going to the dentist( which has been a challenge to say the least ).

I love the front receptionist ladies. Especially Heather, she cracks me up with her telephone manner. Great sense of humour. I like a team who have fun. It makes going to the dentist a lot easier.

I saw the advertisement that this dental clinic was accepting new patients a few months ago and I had just gotten my dental benefits. So, I took a chance, which isn't something I normally do when it comes to doctors of any sort. In fact, I'm ordinarily extremely picky.Suffice it to say, I'm glad I wasn't picky here. Those in reception are so kind and welcoming and have gone above and beyond to reassure me as to how my dental benefits are being used. The dentists and hygienists are knowledgeable and encourage questions. Dr. Lu has been incredible throughout the process of getting my oral health back on track and the team of hygienists constantly check on you throughout any procedure to ensure your comfort.After only a handful of visits, I'm no longer apprehensive about going to the dentist. This team is top notch. Take that chance!

I've been to several dentists across the island, from Courtenay to Victoria and I think Northfield is the best overall.The facility is clean, modern, and inviting. The dentists and hygienists are very knowledgeable and friendly!I want to specifically shout out Jessica for always being super pleasant throughout the appointment! She is thorough, careful, and attentive.

Don't waste your time... went for an appointment I scheduled months in advance. When I arrived I was told they were running a little behind." A half hour later I still had not seen anyone. It's not the first time our family has run into issues at this clinic. We will be looking for a new dentist."

Northfeild dental is outrageously expensive. The service was fine however if you don't have 100% coverage go somewhere else! I payed over $700 for a 50 minute cleaning, almost $2000 for 2 filling replacements (that I may not have needed) that took a little over an hour!!! I have 90% coverage and it still cost me HUGE, food for 2 weeks in fact! Plus after I leave I get an additional charge that I have to pay EVERY time when I went back in. THEN I talked to other people and found out the difference in fees that they were paying at other dentists. I feel ripped off and wish I didn't spend money that I honestly didn't have so the dentist could get rich by making $1000, $2000 an hour (???) while I make less next to nothing in comparison. Like I said this place is fine if you are rich or have 100% coverage and you want the rich to get richer. I feel personally ripped off. While I struggle daily whoever is getting all of this money must be sitting back giggling to be getting away with this robbery and I haven't seen any way that this business is giving back to the community. Just saying.
