Mama's Burgers and Shakes

Not FRESH, just FROZEN food. I’m so sorry but the food here is mediocre at best. If you’re gonna call yourself a burger joint. Then at least sell real beef burgers and preferably homemade. They Sell FROZEN burgers bought from a store. We paid almost $27 for 2 burgers, 1 fry and 1 shake. I’m my opinion (as a self titled Burger Connoisseur), they need to start all over. I will never return.

Good thing we asked for lettuce, tomato, onion on our burgers so at least they tasted like something, cause the burgers sure had NO favour; the fires were chewy, like they'd been warmed up. Don't think we'll try it again, too expensive at this rate. Maybe the ice cream is better, hope so.

Burgers were delicious and fries super crispy. Amazing to have an alternative to typical fast food chains in town. Would much rather go here than McDonalds and for a small place I thought the prices were totally reasonable (especially given the inflation in food prices recently). A lot more affordable than sitting down at a restaurant and spending $20 on a burger and fries.

I'm not sure why there are a lot of negative reviews. This place was great. Much better and less expensive than the other quick food places in town. I'd eat here over McDonald's or subway any day. $25 for 3 people to eat is fantastic. This is not fine dining, it's quick, delicious and affordable. What a great addition to Gan.

Mediocre at best. Maybe a touch better than McDonald’s. If your a “burger” joint you generally don’t use frozen pre packed patties. Wish I read the reviews before going. In my home town when you spend 16 dollars on a meal you get fresh cut fries and fresh beef Pattie’s.

went for lunch with my husband, our burgers were so gross... my fries in my poutine were partly frozen.. and my Husband's 7up tasted like bleach!I will definitely tell you the milk shakes are too die for!!Also the staff were so rude and barley even had anything to say......

Just had lunch here for the first time since the changeover and the food was great. We had a double burger and chicken fingers, the burger was tasty and one of the best I’ve had in a while. The chicken fingers should be called something else if I get 3 nuggets and one finger, I’m so disappointed in the portion size. And fries don’t cost that much so fill up the box or get a smaller box. The ice cream sundae was good, it wasn’t over the top good but it was good.Overall the price was a little too high for the portions given. The staff were friendly and fast, and got my order right and that’s something a lot of places are struggling with right now.I’ll be back for another burger but will caution those with me about the chicken fingers portion size. But what little I did have were really good.

If I could give 2.5 stars, I would. Nothing too bad, but nothing too good. Fair prices. But order wasn't exactly as promised (heavily toasted bun). Lots of wasps in outdoor eating area.

Definitely a place you go for good burgers. The Cadillac burger was huge and exactly what you’re looking for from a roadside burger joint. Milkshake and fries were great too. Would recommend staying away from the chicken strips though, tasty but serving size was very small for the price. All in all a good experience.

Edit: went there again for the second time. They still need a lot of work to make it to its potential. It has the potential to be great but isn’t being run properly. Order today was all wrong, forgot sauces, got wrong food, poor portion sizes. 10$ poutine but only fill 30% of the box. Also they charge you more money for twist soft serve!!! It’s the same machine just a different handle! Don’t go robbing people just to make more money. Your ice cream prices are pushing more then fancier homemade ice cream shops! Things need to change or you won’t be around long. I’ve been told by a lot of people now it’s not worth it and too expensive. Sucks cause I see the potential.**Tried the mama burger with a poutine and drink. (14$)The mama burger is definitely a Costco patty but they do it very well. Was juicy and bun was fresh. Tasted great,The fries are those extra Crispy fries I wish more places used. Cheese curd is refrigerated but not frozen. With it wasn’t cold at all but most places don’t do it right anyway.Overall it was a good burger and one of the best poutines in gananoque. For not having many options for fast food in gananoque basically just McDonald’s I’d go here over McDonald’s any day. Nice friendly staff and they kept the drive thru which I love. Will be back for sure and definitely going to try their ice cream all tho their prices for their ice cream do seem high. Hope it’s worth the price!
