GURUME SUSHI
The decor inside is nice and atmospheric. They sat us inside a booth and the service was speedy, good experience overall. Unfortunately the amount of fish was pretty meager across the sushi we ordered - despite that, I thought the aburi tuna hako was delicious with a yummy sauce on top, highly recommended. The price seemed pretty average for the quality.

GURUME SUSHI
Staff are friendly. However, the atmosphere is stuffy, luckily I was here for not very long to wait for my takeaway. I must admit that I put them in a fridge for the whole afternoon before I consume them, but the California roll is still tasty.

Nice little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere.We ordered sushi and sashimi dinner for two. This is a chef's choice plate but we were able to put in some requests for what I want included. The food is very good and I like the Sake here.This restaurant is also ran by a full Japanese staff, which is a rarity in Toronto. All the staff here are super courteous! Shout out to our server, Ren, who made us feel the utmost welcome here.I would love to return and try the sea urchin one day.

Super pleasant restaurant. Food is great.They have booths separated by wooden and paper panels (don't lean back on them), cheerful lanterns, and a huge samurai mural. Service was fast and friendly. Food portions were plentiful and super tasty. I highly recommend the udon - one bowl is enough for dinner but somehow I was able to stuff myself with more delicious food. Their sushi was fresh - both fish and rice. I went around 5pm and was glad I did because they don't take reservations and it gets very busy. The karaage is quite heavy and it could have lighter breading, but it was still tasty. Very happy!

Small Combo Tray - A stunning sampler of the ocean, ranging from salmon, tuna, to scallops and lightly torched mackerel. The fish were melt in your mouth and the rice was seasoned on point. Got to try a bit of everything!The maki rolls were delicious, and rolled neatly with a perfect thin layer of rice. Generous on the ginger too, which is great to cleanse the palate for another bite.Follow @bredgyeats for more food photos!

This place definitely deserves 5 star. Nice and welcoming service, food is always fresh and yummy! We keep ordering Tako Wasabi again and again. This thing is just blowing your mind out. Salmon is just melting in mouth. It might seem to be overpriced, but this is the cost of quality. Cheaper place definitely will give cheaper experience. Will keep coming back. Thank you for your service

One of the best services and amazing food. Came out of town for a visit in Toronto and GURUME was conveniently located across the street from my hotel. I had a little boy with me who was a little fussy and made a little mess during dinner time and the servers were super patient and helped out a lot. Definitely a plus in my books for that so THANK YOU!. secondly the food was on point. No complaints whatsoever. Service was quick as well. WITH the restaurant being super busy.

GURUME SUSHI
Gurume is a top quality sushi restaurant. We have had plenty of sushi in our time but this place has a noticeable freshness. They really pay attention to detail and it comes out in the presentation and taste.Its conveniently located Downtown Toronto nearby many local landmarks and attractions like museums and more. The decor is nice and hints at an authentic old school Japanese vibe. If you're in the area definitely give them a try.

Really loved our experience. Very friendly staff, good sized rolls, fresh and very tasty. I didn't manage to get a nice photo of everything because we devoured things as soon as they arrived!

The food was pretty decent but the atmosphere wasn't the best. I'd definitely recommend trying their sushi since it tasted fresh and unique.The seats and general atmosphere aren't the best. It was packed in a way that made it extra loud and noisy
