Really great happy hour! We went with a red pitcher of sangria, which was boozy and refreshing. Nice selection of snacks but the standouts were: oysters, wings and baos. Love the breading on the wings and there's a variety of yummy flavours.I didn't like the tuna tataki much because it didn't taste fresh but the crust was good. The wok squid was more peppers/onions than squid but it was tasty enough.Service was fantastic!

We were brainstorming on Sunday brunch place and we were glad we went to Bao Down. It is usually a very busy place but we went just a little bit after noon when it has just open its door for the day. Got seated at the patio, we brought up the online menu on our phones using the QR code at the table. We did not know that what we ordered would made such a filling and tastebud satisfying meals! The shrimp (Ebi) burrito was only $10. The tempura shrimp in the burrito was crispy and dipped in mayonnaise before it was wrapped in, giving it the attractive flavour you crave like when you have dynamite or dragon rolls at a sushi restaurant. The burrito does resemble sushi rolls. Lots of rice wrapped in to fill you up! The sisig chicken fly rice was very balanced (carb, 2 proteins, & slaw) in terms of nutrition as well as flavour. Not salty at all. A little in the sweet side, but that’s understandable for a Filipino dish. I love the soft steamed rice but some may think the rice is on the soft side. The Ms Impossible Bao has a jerky like piece of pork (?) a some lettuce and 3 pieces of pickle. The meat jerky was emerged in mayonnaise which kept the loose lettuce and jerky in place. The amount of mayo seemed to be an overkill. Last but not least, the server was very attentive , timely and friendly . Will come back for sure.

Safe to say I made a great choice when it was my turn to pick a restaurant to eat in.The restaurant is very vibrant and lively throughout the day, but it gets even busier at night. They have a lot of menu item and a lot of versatility as well, with dishes hailing from Hawaii, Korea, Japan, Western, and Filipino. We ordered quite a lot for food but they were all super delish that we had no problem taking it home. We got the loco moco, garlic fries, tuna tataki, tita's pork spring rolls and 4 different baos. The food tasted great and came in big servings that you can definitely share if you choose to. Service was great and fast, we got our food within 10-15mins and our server was super nice and friendly. If you're looking for a wallet-friendly bill, they have all-day Tuesday happy hour and also 3-5pm on Wed-Sun. A lot of their popular menu items and drinks are available for a discounted price. Highly recommended and I will be coming back soon and bringing others to try this place out for sure.

I ordered their Miso Tofu Rice Bowl on Uber Eats and have never been so disappointed in a takeout meal. The bowl costs 15.50 each and is described as “tofu miso aioli, rice, slaw, sweet soy”. As you’ll see from the photos the “slaw” is just a few shredded pieces of carrot and purple cabbage with no seasoning, three pieces of unseasoned tofu that was soggy on the bottom, cold rice and ranch dipping sauce? The dish was awful and I feel like I was scammed.

Great food, place wasn't busy so the service didn't take long and we got our food quickly too. It's just a bit confusing their menu and two names for the restaurant, the menus are available in different hours that we need to ask first. We asked our waiter if the beer was a pint and he didn't seem to be sure but confirmed and when he brought it, wasn't. But in general it's a nice place and the food was great.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. I enjoyed my first experience immensely. Great vibe in this little joint. The staff was super friendly, not just with me but as I watched everyone interact. My waitress recommended the Bao bun flight and I chose 4 delicious flavours from a ton of options. I had no idea really what kind of restaurant I had walked into but was pleasantly surprised by everything.I highly recommend trying Bao Down if you haven't made it in yet!

Great dining atmospheres, music isn't too loud, so you can have proper conversation here. Dining environment is clean and bright as well.Oyster platter is fresh, well selected.Baos are well seasoned, complex texture and we like itFries are average, a bit saggy when we got it (shrug)chanel 5 (?) Cocktail was beyond expectation, light flavour but well balanced tasteOverall is above average dining experience, will come back again :)

Fries tasted like frozen grocery store fries. Ramen noodles tasted like instant. Service was quick and friendly though.
