Goodwill Trans Canada Thrift Store and Donation Centre

I have been performing some serious decluttering and have dealt with three intake employees, Cecil, Jeff and Bradley. All three of them were courteous, and helpful. I will recommend this location to friends and family.

Tried to return an expensive casserole dish because once home noticed a thin crack on inside edge of it. Was told to call the manager as she wasn't available. Even though I have been a weekly customer for over 8 years and have never returned anything before the manager said that the two ladies at the till remembered me purchasing the item a week ago and said that I had looked it over very carefully" therefore no refund. I'm totally shocked

Not that great of prices. If you're looking for thrifted items because they're trendy it's fine, but if you're looking for good items at low prices this is not the place to go.

This is a nice store but I had an experience today that soured me on it. I walked in with a bag and a newer Indian male security officer I didn't see before told, not asked but told me to leave it at the front. I obliged of course but throughout my visit I couldn't help but notice all of the women and poc's wearing longer clothing, burkas, purses, large handbags being allowed to keep theirs with them. When I left and got my bag back from the nice cashier I didn't see the security officer demanding they leave their bags at the front. They actually had their eyes down and were scrolling on their phone as people walked in. I (a white male) like the store and have been coming here often even making donations, so I will return, but it would be nice if this were discussed with the officer in question and/or their employers. This was on May 1 2023 around 5:45 pm

Ways ways overpriced!..I found shoes I would have bought but they had a bad scrape..they were to expensive for a used, damaged, and donated item..even when I pointed out the damage they refused to reduce the price..to expensive..save your time!

Did not have good experience dropping off donation. The staff did not smile or thank for donation of clothes and toys. The donation was not handled carefully; the boxes were piled up on top of each other in a small bin, which was left outside. The most pleasant person in the experience was the security guard at the front, who provided guidance on where to drop off the donations; you are getting one extra star in the rating due to the guard.

Scam Alert!!!!! NOT A REAL CHARITY/NON PROFIT!!! The CEO makes roughly $500,000/year. How is that non-profit? Bring your used good to The MCC, a charity that doesn't want to profit off your donations and people in need.

I shop here often and more often than not I find a good deal. Today I was picking up a chair my wife couldn't fit into her vehicle. When I pulled around the back of the building to pick it up, Cecil was already out of the door and ready to help me. In these tough times, an eager employee and a smiling face goes a long way!!

Bradley was super nice and ready to help me lift the large heavy framed art prints out of my car and into the bin they had to bring them into the store. All with a smile!
