Northeast Community Health Center Emergency Room

One of the least busy emergency care centres I’ve been to in Edmonton. I was seen, cared for, xrayed and discharged in a fraction of the time it would take at other emergency rooms. The speediness did not compromise the level of care I received. Would recommend!

Good experience this far, we are new to Alberta and had complications with my sons health card, they were very helpful.

The staff is not very communicated I went there with my dad because he has a food poisoning no one took serious and the he had just throw out again and again about 20 times as well as he had a stomachache, from 5 hours, the nurse told me that you will have to wait for 3 hours but once the hours had passed the another nurse told me that you will have to wait 7 hours more idk why they didnt take serious to any patient. The patients are in trouble but no one care for that the system at hospital is not best in this country.

I was in and out within 2 hours with the proper antibiotics and was treated so well by staff! I was so scared and in so much pain and I felt super comfortable and well taken care of the whole time!

If I could do a negative 10 stars I would!This place is an absolute joke. When you hear of free health care this place says it all!!!Went to this ER" because my wife was in a major car accident. We waited for 1.5 hours in the waiting room

If I could give negative 5 stars I would... the triage nurse was rude, unconmunicative, and had terrible bedside manner. We waited over 8 hours for my father to be seen. Essentially we were told that if we were not dying or inches away from death we would not get a bed any time soon.

Possible appendicitis, still waited about 6 hours in triage. Got a room that was INSANELY dirty. However, the staff were good to me despite this, and i appreciate them. The building itself needs repairs, and a deep clean. So run down.

This emergency room almost costed me my life when I was 19. I came to the ER for serious stomach pain which was the worst pain I felt in my life. Went to the ER in so much pain, got to see a doctor & they said it was “just a stomach ace” I go home. Fast forward to a couple days later I went in again with killer pain in my lower stomach. I told the triage nurse I felt like I was dying.(I truly did) The way I gaslighted, then called dramatic by the nurse. Sat in agony for hours before seeing another doctor. Since it was my second time coming again for stomach pain they gave me an ultrasound for my stomach. The look of horror on the ultrasound guys face was scary. He proceeded to tell me my appendix was very inflamed & I needed to have emergency surgery. MY APPENDIX WAS RUPTURING THE WHOLE TIME! After my operating at royal alex hospital the surgeon was upset and asked why no one thought to check this earlier? The symptoms were very clear and it turns out I really was dying! The pain was so bad before i knew what it was I was shaking & couldn’t even sit down the whole time waiting for the doctor. Message to you doctors and nurses, if a patient tells you they feel like they are dying, believe them. I know my body. The way it was dismissed as a stomache ace at first was messed up. They barely even checked. So thank you for almost killing me by not taking m serious. I hate this hospital with my life I will never forget how they treated me and almost killed me by negligence & failing to see my obvious signs of appendicitis. I will never trust doctors or nurses again in my life y’all don’t care y’all just want to rush people out.

The Doctor and Nurses that I met while they were on duty the evening of September 22, 2021 are kind.The fast passed atmosphere was synchronized like a Swiss Watch. I saw level of efficiency I haven't seen before.I appreciate all of you for your knowledge, professionalism and for the compassion your show your patients.I sure did take a tumble down those steps.Thanks for being there.
