On Borrowed Time...I was fortunate to meet Marcia about three years ago post MVA. I could barely drive, and if I sat too long I would have to crawl.After a week long failure with a physio therapist, and a newly licensed chiropractor. I found Marcia.During my initial consultation, Marcia knew the problem and corrected it.I could walk Again!Marcia's superior knowledge of anatomy, and multiple massage disciplines allows her to explain to you in simple language what is happening with your body.Allowing you to develop a relationship with your body and be mindful of those nasty habits that make it angry.Unlike my other providers whose interest were perpetual billing to ICBC.Marcia's priority is providing the care and treatment for each patient according to their needs. Not a one treatment fits all. Marcia definitely change my perspective of a RMT.Not someone who simply rubs bodies.Marcia, assess, resolves and educates her patients. An amazing professional.With mixed feelings I'm sad to see her go. However, very much appreciate the opportunity to be one of her clients.I also consider her to be a good friend and I wish her the best in her endeavors.

I first came to see Marcia 3 years ago after a serious rear end collision leaving me with screaming headaches, neck & lower back pain. Marcia attended to me since that time on a weekly basis.During the time that Marcia was waiting to open her own clinic in New Westminster she was working in North Van. & Coquitlam, I tried other massage therapists during that time due to time constraints & my busy job in New West., believe me, none can compare with Marcia ! I eventually traveled to where she was until the new clinic opened. Marcia excels in her profession, and suspects problems often before the medical records come in. She made it possible for me to work through my injuries & I will always be grateful to her. Her room is clean, relaxing & her care exceptional. I recommend Marcia highly to anyone with an injury or just a dam good massage. The hardest part is driving home afterwards !!

Marcia is truly wonderful and a gifted RMT. Not only does she have healing hands, a deep understanding about how the body works and goes out of her way to help you, her presence is calming and is lovely to be around. I am lucky to have found her and sad to see her move. Marcia stands apart from other therapists I have seen for her knowledge, compassion, professionalism and her innate ability to improve and resolve pain issues.

She is by far the best RMT I've ever had! Her massage skill is exceptional. Unlike other RMTs I had before, she understands how muscles are all connected and the chain effect of tight muscles.I first went to see her for my migraines. She was able to pinpoint the cause and explain to me how the muscles were pressing against the nerves which ran from my shoulder through my neck and around to the back of my eyeball. She was able to describe where I'd would feel the pain before I had to tell her myself. (Yes, she is really that good.) Together with the stretches she suggested , the frequency of my migraines definitely reduced by a lot after about a month of treatment. I continued to see her for other problems I was experiencing which included issue in lifting my shoulder to my knee pain.I was sad when I learnt that she was reallocating to her practice to another town. Months have gone by and I haven't yet been able to find an replacement for her.Marcia, please let me know if you are in back in town for business. I'll be your first patient.

Marcia has been my Massage Therapist for nearly 2 years and I highly recommend her. Her massages are excellent and she is is a very knowledgeable and caring person. I am really going to miss her, but wish her well in her new home near Kamloops.

After trying 2 Massage therapists and one Physiotherapist I happened to find Marcia. This women has magic fingers. She is very knowledgeable at what she does. She asks lots of questions of what areas are bothering you and pinpoints which muscles to work on. She is the best at taking care of chronic pain and is always giving you tips on which areas to work on between visits.

Marcia is amazing! I first went to her with a locked jaw and it took her a matter of minutes to diagnose the problem.No only did she fixed the problem in a few sessions, she also showed me ways to prevent it from happening again.

I am going to miss Marcia so much! She helped me significantly this fall when I hurt my back. I was super impressed with her assessment (which incorporated my gait, ROM, posture etc.), and education pieces for me about my injury, it's origin and ways to prevent it from happening again. She works to alleviate pain, but also to get to the source of the issue which for my back was actually my hips! Marcia got me back on my feet and kept my tight hips and lower back in working order. Also, Marcia has extensive knowledge when it comes to migraine relief, and has magic hands that can seriously bring my pain down. I have yet to find another RMT that practices like Marcia!

I followed Marcia from my old RMT's office when she started her own business and wish I could follow her to Kamloops! She has helped me through 2 car accidents & a painful frozen shoulder. Professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I highly recommend her especially for chronic pain & injuries.

I very highly recommend Marcia Downham as the absolute BEST Massage Therapist I have ever had the pleasure of treating my aching, aging sore body! Both my wife and I have been going for massages with Marcia for almost two years (we are each fortunate enough to get 26 massages a year through our health care plan), and today is a very sad day for us since Marcia is moving away to live in her dream log home on a lake......We are very happy for her; but we know we will never be lucky enough to find someone who has the skill, knowledge and experience that Marcia has. Not to mention the fact that she really `cares` about your well-being and is just a real nice person. The people that live in and around Kamloops, and are looking for the BEST Massage Therapist....need look no further than Marcia Downham. Go for one massage and I am certain that you won`t go anywhere else......unless she moves again; which is highly unlikely.
