Scarborough Allergy Clinic

I went twice to this doctor, I was told I have no food allergies, when in fact I do. As such, I ate salmon, my feet ballooned and ended up in ER of NYGH in August 2019.

Dr Sean Mace was really kind and informative, I also referred my supervisor to him.

Not at all impressive or accountable. I've seen this doctor once and ordered allergy serums from him twice since my previous allergist retired. I'm not so sure he is invested in his patients thus far. When I saw him the first time, he just looked at my previous allergist's files and asked me what I wanted to do, which was odd, but I guess ok. I said continue the regular allergy shots, so he said fine and ordered a bottle. That bottle was finishing nearly two months ago, so I called his office and they replied that they will check with him what next to do. No response, so I called him again after a few days and they said he said order a new bottle. So I sent them the payment, they cashed it and no word of the serum bottle at my family physician's office for nearly two months. (It used to arrive after two weeks from my prior allergist.) I called Dr Mace's office after a month, asking for whereabouts and they never replied. I then called two weeks later, and this time, they were on vacation. So I called yet again this week and was first told the doctor was injured and they would need to check with him. Very unusual and unbelievable explanation because they cashed my cheque over a month earlier, and they confirmed he does not make the serums anyways. I got a call the following day from them that the lab has been backed-up - sorry yet again unbelievable - and that it will send the serum next week and should be at my doctor's office two days later. I'm sorry, but I don't believe this latest explanation. A bit of honesty and customer focus from this place would be much more preferable.

I would rate this office less than 1 star if I could.I would never EVER recommend this place to anyone.I saw Dr. Mace back in May to talk about allergy injections where we concluded that I would be needing them. I left that day and was told to just “show up” between June and July to start this lengthy process of my allergy injections.I told them I worked and it was not reasonable for me to drive out of my way without an appointment and wait and hope I could start the injections the day I “showed up” at the clinic. So instead I made an appointment. The day of my appointment, 30 minutes before my appointment to be exact they called and cancelled saying my injections were not in yet. I understood and asked what I could do from here. They told me to keep calling back to check the status or wait for my pharmacy to call. The whole month of August I have spent calling this clinic to figure out where and when I will receive my allergy shots. Not one time did I get a returned call. Only once I left a message where you could hear I was unable to breathe and explaining my concern about my health. They gave me no information and made and over-the-phone appointment for me to talk to Dr. Mace and see what’s up. Obviously, Dr. Mace did not give me a call back during my appointment time.I’ve called my pharmacy, I’ve called my family doctor, I’ve called everyone I can to try to track down these injections only to find out that back in May Dr. Mace never submitted my injections which meant I’ve been waiting for absolutely nothing.It’s so sad to think that I would rather not breathe at night than try to call over and over again to try to talk to someone at this office.Just this week Dr. Mace has left me hanging for 3 over-the-phone appointments.I understand and respect wait times, but to not even submit my prescription after months and months of waiting (not to mention thinking the injections have been submitted) nor get a singular phone call back is absolutely disgusting.Again, I would never EVER recommend this place to anyone. There is not a single bit of care for their patients.Unfortunately this is truly a disgusting place. Do better.

Great Doctor. If you are looking for a Allergist then come here. Long wait.

Definitely has a sense of humour. I have a rare severe allergy. It took two visits but he was able to diagnose it

Bad organization. Waited 2 months for this appointment to have my allergy test, the reception lady called me 2 days earlier to reschedule the time from 2pm to 12pm which I agreed on, then I came in 10 min before 12pm and the reception lady told me that I was scheduled for 2pm, and that I would have to wait a while, I waited a whole hour and the doctor is still busy. Very bad experience, unprofessional front desk.

After all the testing, it was reduced down to acid reflux. I wasn't impressed with the initial prognosis. Let's see what the follow up visit hold.

Worst allergy clinic ever. Called and spoke to clinic and also left voice mails as I need a prescription for new vials for my allergiesWas promised to be called to get what the next steps are. Instead of that to happen, all my voice mails were ignored and now I’m out of medication and I have to find a new allergist to get this movingLook for literally any other allergist if you don’t want to mess up your course of
