I used to have an overwhelming respect for this doctor. Unfortunately, my vehicle was broken into and all my belongings taken the morning of an appointment; my phone, my wallet, my childrens ID. I could not reach her as she is there for one day a week, and she closed my sons file immediately as a no show. It took over a year to get in to see her and left him stranded with no doctor. As a person we are to trust with our childrens wellbeing, I would not recommend her.

Such an intelligent, compassionate, knowledgeable, insightful, caring, attentive psychiatrist!! As I spoke, and cried, and spoke, and cried some more during a crisis, Dr Yu-Siao assured me I was safe and she was going to help me. She guaranteed me if she didn’t have an answer for me to help solve my anguish she would find the answer. AND SHE DID!I would recommend and trust her with my adult children (and older Grandchildren if need be) in a heartbeat.She knows her skill and taught me more in ONE Crisis visit than 6 days in a psych ward as an inpatient did recently!! 5 ⭐️

Excellent doctor who took the time with my daughter even over otn due to covid. She was compassionate, attentive, talked to my daughter in easy going conversation.. Yet she made superior recommendations based on her expertise.. I highly recommend her for pediatric psych assessment.

Dr. Yu-Siao is an incompetent and uncompassionate psychiatrist, the last time I saw her was in 2016 when I was 14 before I had to be hospitalized. I had an appointment during my stay at McMaster that I obviously couldn't attend, my mom called repeatedly to say I was in the hospital and I would miss my appointment but her calls were never answered. As a result of that no-show, I was dropped as a patient. She also almost never asked if I was suicidal and barely listened. In addition, she also neglected to let me or my mom know she'd diagnosed me with ADHD. Overall would not recommend.

Tried my son on medication she thought would help. Never heard back from her.left messages and calls. Left him with no doctor no follow up. Is this even allowed. These kids need help and aren’t getting it.

Been a week since a failed video call appointment to change my 6 year old son's medication. Called and left multiple messages as he ran out of his current medication, which is dangerous and was told NOT to just STOP his medication. Going back to get a referral to a doctor who actually cares about their patients, sad I waisted 8 months for no help with my son's mental health. I do not recommend waisting your time and watching your child suffer, request a referral to a different doctor.
