Ren's Pets Brantford

I wanted to thank the cashier who served me today. I am at pet owner who is dealing with a super senior who was diagnosed with jaw cancer at the age of 16. The information and general concern and compassion meant the world. Thank you for your kindness and understanding.

The staff there was absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure of working with Erin. She was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond while assisting myself and another customer.

Staff was great they actually had a product that I could t find anywhere else for tick and flea protection with pesticides and that works ! Especially for pregnant and nursing dogs . The girl that helped me even took the time to read the paperwork innthe package and has had repetitive customers buying this product

My dog went with me to get dog food and some sweaters. She meets new friends. She also sniffs everything in sight and then tries to steal cookies from bottom shelves. Gotta watch this one!

I would love to say this will be my new go to pet store but that will be a hard no. Recently added a lab to the family and decided to stop at Ren's rather then pet smart across the street. Nice clean store price compare well I would say Rens has a wider selection to choose from. Picked up some sprays and a clicker for training. To my surprise the clicker does not make a sound. no big deal its across the street I'll just zip in and exchange! We'll that is a no go as I'm new to the store I don't have a points account and don't have the receipt and the young ladies working are unable to process a straight exchange for a product they can Cleary tell is brand new from their store and they are unable to help me. It is such a small amount $10 product that I can not use will stop me from using Rens for future purchases. Pet Smart across the street has a very different approach on exchange/returns looks like they will be stocking my pup

I love their products and their customer service people are very polite, but I've run into a few issues regarding the knowledge of some of the people that work there. As a dog groomer, I frequent this place often but ALWAYS find the products I need to be out of stock in the conveniently located Brantford location. I usually have to make the drive to another Rens to fulfill my regular orders. I was told I could place an order online and it would be shipped to my door instead of having to drive nearly 2 hours out of my way for parts I need to keep my business running. I tried that but the parts were never delivered and had to fight the shipping company to get a refund. When I called ahead one time, I asked the nice lady on the phone that before I make the extra trip into town, do you have this *specific * part in stock. I repeated the name of the part several times and asked for her to write it down as I spell it out because I've ran into the issue before that they got my part written down wrong. She assured me they had exactly 2 in stock. I asked her to keep them for me, and I'll be packing up my kids as we speak to come get this part that I require to go back to work the following day. I couldn't use my clippers anymore without the blade drive replacement. I said it many times, AGC 2 speed blade drive REPLACEMENT." LOL I drove the 35 minutes

Always has what I'm looking for and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Following my previous review, the Ren's manager reached out to me. She was very genuinely apologetic and did all she could to make it right. My complaint was handled quickly and the manager seems to have great respect for customer service.The store doesn't currently sell crickets, which are my main pet purchase, but I would be happy to return to this store in the future if they did start to sell them or for any other pet needs.

Love this store. Very clean and organized. Ton of product selection. Staff were awesome.
