First would like to start off with the bartender girl who spoke rudely to us when we entered, our server was a mature lady with short hair and she was very lovely , however felt abit weird how she had to come Upto me and ask me for a tip and kind of demanded it? First of all, the chefs great expertise on how to cook a steak was actually knowing how to do grill marks on it , con was he didn’t know how to cook a steak properly . I asked for medium and got rare, sent it back and came back with med rare. I’m astonished that a chef doesn’t know how to cook a steak to 5 temperatures, seems like a Home cook. Boiled frozen veggies and dumped on my plate with excess water , making a puddle under my steak . This is the first time I’ve had to make a dissapointing review, the best thing I had today at the restaurant was the Diet Coke from a can. Can’t believe that this place has 4 stars when generally speaking it should be 1

Somehow I had a late night craving about smoke meat, as I didn't want to go out, I decided to place an order via skip. I chose the medium fat for the smoke meat and surprisingly, it was good. I'll probably give it a try again.

I love the place, and it's filled with memories, character and simple pleasures as a well done Lester's deli smoked meat gets turned into a nice and tasty sandwich. The desserts are in house made and absolutely fantastic. Well worth the visit and drive.

Great familly restaurant experience, attentive to your needs like for us with 3 kids, great tender smoked meat that melts in your mouths, we also ordered souvlaki plate also very good, the table next to us had a great looking pizza, meals were also provided with rice and chocolate pudding that was great tasting, overall great value for your monney.

Top price for a poutine with no cheese curds. Times are really hard when you're using mozzarella. At least, warn your clients what they are buying before hand. This is not a poutine and it's a big disgrace to our national dish. Pictures don't lie.

Last minute smoke meat pick in the city and was pleasantly surprised. Being from out of town this location was not a regular haunt or in rotation. Smoke meat was fantastic both lean and medium options were amazing. Server Stephanie was also pleasant and extremely kind, facilitated a quick order and the food was extremely fresh and well presented. Definitely put this in the Montreal smoked meat rotation!

Best smoked meat ever. Not too salty, meat comes w choice of fattyness, bread is durable but minimal. Any effort to make this better would ruin it. If you come to Montreal, get a lightning fast sandwich h the way it should be.

Excellent smoked meat here! I stopped in here with a client and we had the old fashioned platter. The food was great and very filling! I plan to make this a regular stop when I am in Montreals east end!

We ordered a Jarry(smoked meat) pizza and a smoked meat sandwich. After that we waited in our car, and just after a few minutes an enthusiastic waiter came to our car, friendly talked to us and gave us our food through the car window. When we opened the pizza box we already knew it’s gonna be tasty, and it truly is! It’s our first time to try a smoked meat pizza and it’s wonderful, will definitely come back again!

Easy to find, really fast and courteous service, reasonable prices, and one of the best smoked meat sandwiches I've had, coleslaw reminded me of my youth in Montreal (yum) but the fries were just okay.The place is dated but clean.We'll be back when we're in Montreal again!
