Tanlu Grill
Had to call to reserve, and they don’t take any walk ins. The bbq is very different from Korean style bbq, and bbq on coal makes all the difference in terms of flavors! Meat is extremely fresh and well cut, other side dishes are great too!

Great selection of meat. My favorite is grilled unagi! It is so worth the price - high quality of meat and sauce. Portion is moderate. 3-4 orders is good for 2 people.

I've been here a couple times. The first time was before covid and the second was after. I must say the first time was a better experience but the second time was still not bad.I love the food varieties. We got a mix beef meat platter and other items both times. While the main items were good, the sides were a bit forgettable. They gave us four slices of lettuce even though we ordered a meat platter and other items.The price is fair for the food you get.Overall, I do like this place so it gets a 3.5/5 despite it lacking excellent service or atmosphere. I would go back again, but just not anytime soon.

Happy 3rd Anniversary! This is the bbq shop we frequent for parties. They offer large tables and it is advisable to book seats in advance. Complimentary side dishes will be provided, the dipping saucer goes well with grilled meat, and the meat is fresh.

The meat quality at Tanlu is fantastic. Everything was very delicious and there is a bunch of free dips you can enjoy with your grilled meats. The charcoal grills are a really nice touch and makes the food taste much better!Tanlu House Cut: It was a smaller bowl than expected but still a fair amount of meat. Pre-marinated, tastes kind of like the KBBQ seasoning. Good but not outstanding.Chuck Flat: My favourite! It wasn't seasoned but the flavour of the meat really comes through. It goes perfectly with some salt or dip that is provided with the meal!Pork belly with pickled napa: Pretty good, you get a LOT of pickled napa cabbage (which I really like)! The fat on the meat was a little tough but still enjoyable. They will switch out the grill for you to cook pork since it has more fat, really nice attention to detail.Bibimbap: Pretty standard, nothing special but it was a good fillerWe had a reservation for 7:00PM but wasn't seated for 40-45 min after our reservation time. The staff were quite apologetic about it, but it was a long wait.

Beef platter is so good! We are a party of three. Besides the beef platter, also ordered pork belly and bacon wrapped enoki. The portion was large and we were all really full! The side dishes are great as well. Definitely gonna come again!

My family had dinner last night here. There was an unexpected incident happened but staff was taking a good care of us. One of the best customer service among Chinese restaurants. Not to mention, food was tasty and high quality meat. I will come back for sure!!

Food is good, price can be a bit steep but they use charcoal for the grill & also give you side dishes like other Korean bbq restaurants so I can totally justify that based on this and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Service could be improved (hit-or-miss), there was one waiter with glasses that’s super nice& friendly and another waiter that’s rude&impatient - you can easily tell that he gets annoyed if you ask for anything (water, side dishes etc) and that ruined our whole dining experience.

I came to this place with a recommendation from a friend, and I have to say it was a really special experience. I particularly enjoyed the traditional charcoal BBQ they have here - the meat and all the ingredients were really fresh, and all the complimentary side dishes were delicious as well. The flavors were really well balanced . The BBQ grill has a large exhaust fan on top ,so there isn't much smoke while grilling and there is no strong smell of BBQ on our clothes after the meal . Even though it wasn't the weekend,the restaurant was quite crowded during lunchtime, so I would recommend making a reservation if you plan on coming here with friends. Overall, it was a great place for a group outing and there's a good variety of meat to choose from to share with everyone.

Dinner with friends, one of them tried this place before, recommended it, so here we are.The charcoal grill makes all the difference in the world, food taste 10 times better.If you like Korean BBQ, you will like this too, they are very similar, even have those side dishes.Love it, we will go back again.This place is super busy, plan ahead make reservation at least a day before if you want to go on weekends. They turned down a few walk in parties, when we were there.
