Novatech - Patio Doors

I have been holding of writing such a low review. I was hoping after all my communication/pictures with Hardy and then passed off to Claudio in quality control and numerous calls with him the ball was dropped again. I started 5 months ago to get advice on a 8 foot triple pane patio door we ordered in for our home in PEI. In the high winds we were .getting a reverberating noise and draft. All I wanted was some advice on if we installed something wrong or if I needed to deal something to deal with the high winds on the coast. No luck. The product is good but the service is lacking. Sorry guys

I recently moved into a house with Sunview Patio Doors installed. I noticed they needed to be resealed both patio doors. Contacted the company, waited for a month for reply and asked to fill out a form and send some images as well. Did all of the above mentioned, have not heard from them since after 3 emails. I am not asking for free patio doors just information on how to fix it.Customer service is horrible. I'll make sure this review will be posted on all search engines and word of mouth to friends and family.

Purchased house 4 years ago which had 2004 Sunview Vinyl patio doors. Insulated glass units had already failed with condensation and dust trails visible. Warranty only applies to original purchaser and does not cover labour costs to replace. Now door locking mechanism is starting to fail. Previous house with 30 year old units unknown brand still condensation free. Will not be considering Sunview for any replacement doors.

Last month Dante replaced the glass in our new patio door. We couldn't have asked for a nicer or more knowledgeable serviceman. He was quick and efficient, and, oh by the way, we love the patio door. It looks great with our new siding and everyone that has used it can't believe how easily the screen door slides. I have recommended your company to everyone who asks me where we purchased it. Thanks for the quick service.

I recently purchased a house with a 2004 sunview sliding glass door I did not close until slightly outside of the warranty but noticed the glass door needed to be resealed last year. The warranty also does not transfer ownership. Although frustrated that they will not cover this I can accept the fact I am technically not covered. I am giving them a 1 star because my Anderson sliding glass door is 30+ years old with no issues. I cannot stand buy this products value.

I contacted Sunview Patio Doors regarding a patio window that had developed condensation. The window is supposed to be under warranty, however I was told that as I am not 'the original owner', the warranty no longer holds. Oh well, think again, next time you get windows from this company.

Purchased patio door 10 Months. One evening two weeks ago there was a pop like sound in the one piece of glass broke. We have no clue what could’ve caused it, I know for certain that nothing hit it as we were less than 6 feet away from it when it broke. We contacted Sunview And were told that there was nothing they were going to do as broken glass was not covered under their warranty and we could not prove that it may have been faulty glass. I have purchased many windows and doors over the years for other properties we have owned and only one window never broke in the manufacture had no issue replacing it as it was under a year old as well. Extremely disappointed in the customer service we received. This is supposed to be a reputable company that has won awards? How do you plan to make this right?

We purchased our Novatech Imagine 2 door set of sliding patio doors a little over 10 years ago through Wardco Window. Within the 10 year warranty period both sets of blinds which operate completely independently broke within the glass panes. The blinds are encased in the glass panes and there is no direct external contact with them. This is very strange that they broke at the exact same time since they are completely independent of one another. We tried several times to phone Wardco Windows and doors but there was never an answer. I finally contacted someone at Wardco by email. At this point it was just outside the warranty and they quoted $2000 to replace the doors. The person at Wardco tried to contact Novatech several times, but they could not get in touch with anyone. This is such a poor business practice for a manufacturer not to respond to their distributor. I tried to contact Novatech directly by phone, but no luck. I also sent a message on their website outlining the situation, but no response. This has been several months now and they have not even got in touch with. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am disgusted by this whole experience.

I had a customs height patio door (smaller than a typical opening) ordered the beginning of April through Gentek London, still haven’t received the door, I’m told Sunview is not providing updates to Gentek on the status and leaving everyone hanging. I don’t understand how a company cannot look in their system to provide updates when the door will be ready and shipped. It’s now been 5 months now, and I understand longer lead time for custom order, but simply not responding to update requests timely with accurate information is crazy in this age of technology.

Had to get both patio doors replaced due to the built-in blinds not working properly. Under the Costco warranty it was painless. Dante, the installer who also did the first visit inspection and approval was awesome. Pretty painless and seamless. Good to work with this firm.
