The food here is of poor quality and taste! Poorly cooked, lacking in care or effort. Even plain tea is often weak and tepid! Food is often cold and dry. As a restaurant, they would go bankrupt in no time!! It's a waste of food and my money!$$$

Four years ago I fell & broke my shoulder & was transferred from hospital to this rehab centre . I had a great experience there.The staff were terrific & took great care of me for the 2 months I was there. The rooms were were comfortable & the food was generally quite good .There was a daily exercise group weekly bingo & movies to entertain us Thursdays were Free Ice Cream sundaes & Pet Visitation Day which was really fun. I had a cat at home & I really missed him so this was a great distraction for me..I also met some very lovely people Overall I cannot complain. Thanks to all there who contributed to my well being! Carewest Dr Vernon Fanning center is great place all management and doctor or LPN or Rgistery nurse both are doing great job.but nurse assistant are very unrespectable ,and they are talk unnecessary word some of them but not all, The client over their, they need help and they have participated with every thing and show love to make things to be easy but, nurse assistant over their when they see some one coming to work with them the one senior over their working a long time ,instead of show to what to do they are doing improper things push that person to go out from work that is not good idea ,We are all human being and we are all going school we have the same HCA certificate, and we have the same experience. But why they are doing this ?who knows? I am sorry about it,I am writing because I got it and I saw them,from their .I share this because to let people to know about it.

The best of compassionate caregivers! Activities Socializing Social Workers who can check on the homefront situation and help make positive changes before returning home. Support at home through Alberta Government Social Services. They stay with the patient all the way!!!! Food is excellent with posted weekly meals and choices. Amazing care from AM to PM and all through the night. My Mom is 91 and had a pulled muscle. They were constantly assisting her. 5 Stars! Thank-you cards for staff on the unit bulletin board reflect the true nature of the excellent quality care given. ❤️

The communication with all levels of staff is very poor. You’re left feeling like you’re running in circles for answers to simple questions. The Doctors have been great. The nurses and staff caring for patients are hit and miss. This can look like the staff being very impatient, shouting and being rough. Carolyn Spotowski strongly needs to reconsider her profession. She was so disappointing. The cleaning staff are abysmal. I’ve seen full sections of rooms get neglected for almost a week until I asked for the area to be swept, mopped, anything. Each unit has a mini fridge that is shared amongst many patients. One teeny tiny mini fridge for at times, many patients. Sad. Just sad.

My father-in-law is in the fanning centre for about a month now and will be coming out soon. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the facility is run, how friendly and helpful the staff are and how enjoyable the food is (according to dad). Our experience there has been excellent, and everyone we dealt with so far has been great.

PLEASE PROMOTE RESPECTFUL WORKING ENVIRONMENT. Bullies shouldn’t be tolerated in AHS partnered institutions.

current resident of Fanning center.staff are diligent and respectful, treating me with great care and affection. The worst of them are competent.food is excellent as far as institutional food goes and there are many activities for the residents to partake in.recommended!

Not very clean, only one shower a week and food not appetizing. Not impressed at all.

Mentally abusive to patients and family. Josie unit 3w manager leaves a disabled women crying in her chair. No respect. Avoid this place with your family. Josie of 3 w tries to flex her insignificant muscle. She must run the show. Because both directors can't do it because they are mentally incompetent. They also abuse the spouse of patients when they cry and don't get their way. Evil place infringes on your right to free speech. They call the police when their feelings get hurt. Poor babies do you want a box of tissues. The management of this facility should be at a fast food restaurant flipping burgers because that is all they are mentally capable of doing. The director lied typical AHS employees. Oh really your response is filled with lies. You send a thug to my home who attempts forced entry. I hope you have your legal team lined up I am coming for you all. Plus the patients are using 30 year old beds. My wife bed is too short. She has pressure sores on her feet. I mentioned it two weeks ago.
