The chocolatines/ pain au chocolat are the best I have had and they are well priced. I wish they had them all of the time. I would say 5 stars but I bought some eclairs that were so hard that they were inedible. I also tried a little cake thing, which was tasteless, too sweet, and had terrible oily icing. I suspect they don't make that one in house. I will try the squares and other things when I go back.

Extremely disappointed in my experience here, I saw some awesome cakes and was very excited to try it. However upon trying the cake with my friends we were all very disappointed, it was incredibly dry on the inside and very crumbly. The cake was legit falling apart on the plate without me even touching it. I was extremely disappointed as I was very excited to try the cake and it did look so good in the pictures. The staff and manager were also extremely rude and dismissive when I was ordering.

Was excited to try this place and staff was lovely but was quickly disappointed when I noticed a dark hair was baked into one of the biscottis I purchased. If a bakery cannot have adequate hygiene protocols to stop such an easily preventable error, it makes me wonder what else may be going on.

My friend spent $70 on a 6 inch cake for my other friends birthday. It looked beautiful, but the cake was very very dry and the buttercream was supposed to taste like cotton candy but it had zero flavoring added, just tasted like sweetened shortening. All three of us couldn't finish a single slice. It was horrible.She had called the store immediately, and was told she had to bring it back when the owner was in a few days later. When she brought in the almost completely uneaten cake, the owner said she wasn't going to get a refund because the cake looked fine to her.Very disappointing experience. Ruined my friends birthday, all of us were disappointed in the cake. Upon reading reviews on Google, I see that it is likely the owner will respond publicly with excuses instead of actual solutions. We spent over $70 on a cake that you didn't make right and made her feel like complete garbage because she choose your bakery.Horrible experience.

I just picked up some death by chocolate individual cakes, $4/each and I thought they were good but a bit dry. I wish they had a time stamp in front.My daughter says even though the ganache was good the texture seemed a bit off and they had a bitter taste.The girl was nice but camera sky.

Love this bakery! !Always fresh and wonderful cakes and pies. The Apple Cinnamon Pie is to die for! Lots of creative options to give as gifts! Can’t wait to see what comes next!

My boyfriend and I stopped in today for some treats and were completely blown away by how good everything was! We can't wait to come back to try more :)

Of all the choices in the Byward Market, this bakery sells my daughter's favorite iced gingerbread cookies. We stop in every time we visit the market. They also sell cold beverages which are great on a hot summer day.

Out-of-town buyers beware. I paid $21 for six very pretty cupcakes just before heading back to Montreal. Upon my return home, I realized that the cupcakes were very dry (either overbaked or stale) so I reached out to the bakery. The owner was very nice and quick to respond. I was told that the cupcakes are made every two days (there is no date on the package, so there's no way of knowing which day you've landed on) and the only solution offered by the business is to return the cupcakes—impossible in my situation. The frosting was delicious but the cupcakes were very disappointing, especially given the price.
