Amazing place.. booked quick, and they went out of their way to help better accommodate him a bit better than he would of already had it, due to a hard couple days of flights. Would recommend most definitely. Great serivce. The guy down in the restaurant offered to being his food up . And was still hot when it got up there, also great food!

Pros:Good location and affordable price.Cons:Poor soundproof so don't expect to sleep much on a Friday night due to all the bars nearby. WiFi signal is very weak and unusable at times (maybe because my room is on the 4th floor)

Great location, rooms above a restaurant in a 100 year old building. Nice change from the usual chain hotels. Self check-in and check-out efficient. Room decor a bit of a mix bag but clean and comfortable. Strong WiFi, comfortable bed and great shower.

We enjoyed our stay here. You can't beat the location and price.This place has a quirky charm that you just can't find anywhere else.It's an inn above a pub. Where else does that still exist?The building is old and uninsulated. You will 100% hear noise from the Duke across the alley. You will hear the people in the next room.The economy room is small.The price reflects all of that.You won't find a clean room for cheaper in the area.You're getting a comfortable, clean place in a really unique setting for the best price around.

It was pretty close to what we expected. Great location and affordable price. Bed was comfortable, you could see the harbour from the window and clean bathroom. The room was equipped with a mini fridge, tv and coffee maker. But no boiler or microwave. Self-check in wasn’t smooth and we had to call to be let in.

Only real English pub in St. John's. Best fish and chips in town. Friendly staff and great service.

Racist terrible location.I booked online via AGODA. I arrived and they refused my room, they refused my cash/debit, they refused to accept any form of payment other than credit card and I offered $250+ deposit on top of my room fee and they rejected that as well because according to the owner I spoke with someone “just like me” caused over $1k damages before. Why am I being judge for someone else’s action just because I’m the same race?Usury is against my religion, I do not use credit cards for that reason specifically. Even if I get charged 0 interest if I pay on time I refuse to pay the yearly fees.If you’re white and use credit cards Maybe it’s a nice place, but I’m not white and I pay with cash/debit and was refused service so be aware

No elevators and no valets to assist with bags. Actually, no one available to help with anything! There is no reception desk it is self check in. Great if everything is operable, not so much if you need help. No soundproofing between rooms so get used to fights and other things that go bump in the night.""

Interesting variation on fish and chips!Good beers, including real Irish Guinness.
