Driving by and stopped in for gasket and cement for woodstove, $59.Kit at a big box store is half that. Won't be back and won't recommend.

Fireplace Specialties in Belleville has brought unexpected elegance to our home with a beautiful new gas fireplace in a vintage mantel we found outside in the rain at a second-hand store. The team was professional and creative, combining Sam's vision and outside-the-box thinking with detailed knowledge and experience. Installers Steve and Jason were skilled and tidy. We also loved the wood-burning fireplace that went into in our farmhouse years ago, so this was our second good experience. Thank you, Fireplace Specialties!

We waited 6 weeks for a sales representative to come out to have a look at job. Sean was supposed to come out but was ill, so the owner was supposed to come out at 7 in the evening, he was a hour late.He proceeded to tell us many things of his personal life, we really didn't want to hear. Very unprofessional.He took no measurements and told us that he would take a week to get back to us with a quote. Nine days passed by, so I called and they said he wasn't in and would pass the message on, 14 days and still no call or email. Frankly I don't know how this business stays in business.We went to a competitor, Friendly Fires, recieved a quote within half-hour subject to a site inspection, which will be within a week. Found them to be very professional.

From beginning to end everyone we dealt with was amazing. We were replacing an old fireplace insert. The selection was great in the showroom. In home measurements were done quickly and the installers went beyond our expectations with fixing the roof shingles seal around the chimney. The new fireplace looks great! We would highly recommend Fireplace Specialties

I have been here twice in the last year. The first visit I spoke with a woman and a man, who were both lovely. While my order took a long time they were very helpful. I am giving the low rating because my second trip back I was met by the most condescending salesman I have every experienced. I am the cook in the family, and I have worked in kitchen equipment sales myself for over 15 years and consider myself quite knowledgeable. I came in to pick up a few accessories for a BGE with my husband. The salesman would only speak to my husband, I would ask him something, and he wouldn't look at me but only address my husband. My husband was disgusted by this experience, as was I. And we will not be back, nor will we recommend this shop to anyone. Please in the future treat all of your customers with respect, and don't tell any customer to wait while the men are talking"."

Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. They answered all our questions and helped us decide what unit would work best in our home.

We abandoned our project with Fireplace Specialties for several reasons, most have already been mentioned in other comment reviews. Took 5 weeks to have an inspection, appointment was late during supper time and stayed talking about his personal life without taking measurements or making real planification. Took another 4 weeks to get a quote which was completely out of range, and still couldn’t get going on the project after several phone calls and emails. We decided to go with another company, located on Hway 2 downtown Belleville, where we got an estimate right away, had an inspection and installation within 3 weeks. Fireplace Specialties’ owner was condescending both at the store and during the home visit. We wouldn’t recommend.

They are not interested in helping a customer unless your buying a new fireplace, very rude won’t be going back
