River Country Campground

What a gorgeous place to stay! Our hosts were more than accommodating and provided a neat, clean, friendly camping experience. The events that were planned for the weekend were a blast! Can't say enough good about this campground.

Shirley; the owner of the campground is the most attentive helpful caring attendant I have ever experienced at a campground. We were late in arrival; interrupting her dinner. She escorted us to our site; ensured we didn’t need assistance backing the trailer in and ensured we were happy with out accommodation.The park was very quiet, clean and organized. Mostly seasonal sites with a lot of them having views of the St. Lawrence River. The fencing was blocking the view and not a nice feature for pictures but still a very nice view.We wish Shirley and her husband all the luck in the world for success with their new ventures.

We loved this place for tent camping during our cross Canada trip.Shirley and her team are great and the other people we met were very friendly. We would definitely return!

A great family campground. We stayed twice in the last 7 days. Once on the way to PEI and again on the return. It is clean and quiet. Nice activities for kids too.

Our first visit here, for 3 nights last month, during a trip from NS to Quebec. It is a very happy find and we will return if we pass that way again. The campground is well tended and located on the banks of the river, some sites directly backing onto it. We were lucky enough to be given one of these sites, which was also equipped with a huge deck. Most of the sites are spacious and level. There are a lot of seasonal campers but they are one of the friendliest crowds we have come across and there are plenty of sites available for visitors. We were accompanied by our young Golden Retriever, on his first camping trip, and everyone was so helpful getting him acclimatized to the new situation. There is also a nice little walk through the woods to one end of the campground. The owners were very visible, constantly driving around to check everything was OK and we felt very welcome. The only reason we haven't given the full 5 stars is because there was no wifi available, even when we drove to the office Hotspot. It would be nice to have even minimum connection at the sites. Highly recommend this place though.

Beautiful spot, super helpful and attentive owners, lovely people all around. The beach is excellent. Clean and pretty quiet. We'll definitely be back!

The service is best anywhere. Our site on the river was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. The seasonal campers were really friendly and lots of kids activity Halloween weekend! Try their home made pie..awesome!

A hidden gem right next to the St. John River. The owner is one of a kind: friendly, caring. The campground is well maintained. The kids loved the playground area and rec center. We will definitely come back!

Stopped here for one night travelling back to Ontario from Nova Scotia. Absolutely amazing campground. Lots are level and fair sized. The owner Shirley is truly outstanding and very accommodating to our requests. Next time we are back in New Brunswick, we will definitely be staying here.

Best camp ground in eastern Canada! A hidden gem .Was a seasonal camper for 4 years. Loved every min of it
