Artistic Stairs & Railings | Edmonton

Just wanted to share my experience as a home owner with anyone considering using Artistic Stairs as their staircase contractor. In a nutshell, you'll likely get better service and responsiveness from other staircase contractors.We moved into our new home where the staircase was supplied and installed by Artistic Stairs, during the final stages of completion - they were short a piece of glass (as pictured) and 2 other pieces of glass needed to be replaced as it was chipped. They said they would be back the following week to complete the work.Fast forward 7 weeks, we still have a piece of MDF as our glass and the damaged glass has not been replaced. Our home builder tried tirelessly to reach out to get them to complete the contract but they've been radio silent.Do think twice before you select these guys as your staircase trade.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Artistic Stairs & Railings. I had my entire house railings completed by them and have had nothing but a positive experience. The sales and design manager Pieter Peskens was professional and knowledgeable. He had great communication with myself and our contractor and was timely/efficient with deadlines. The installers Dan and Brandon did an amazing job with the railings. We were notified of the progress every step of the way and they made sure we were satisfied with their work. They were very neat with the job and even went the extra step to clean everything up afterwords to make sure other tradesman had a good working space. We have experienced nothing but great customer service from this company!!

So happy with the final product. Alex, our design manager, was the best to deal with. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to design, product options and install. He was very responsive and efficient with all of our inquiries. Tom, who did the install, was the best carpenter we've dealt with throughout our home reno. These guys are pros, and the customer service is top-notch. Amazing quality of work and the quote was very reasonable as well. Great overall experience.

After deciding to go ahead with a stair rail replacement. We had gotten several quotes. The people at artistic were outstanding to work with from the design through completion.Dan the installers craftsmanship was a true joy to observe. He took the time to explain the why and hows of why our stair rail was put together the way it was, we could not be happier with his work.Andreas also was excellent for his on-site quality control of the project.Artistic was the best value for money and you should definitely consider them for your renovation needs.

After successfully completing a very difficult install of railings for our custom curved stairs, we were delighted with the results. Thanks to Pieter for designing the stairs & railings in a unique way how we wanted and Gary for taking time and installing them flawlessly.Special thanks to the Calgary installing crew who carried all 3 flights of heavy stairs by maneuvering them to the difficult location without causing any damage to the house.The job site was always kept clean and a professional standard was always maintained.Artistic Stairs has done a great job and we would be happy to recommend them to anyone in the future.

We are doing a reno of our old home and wanted to replace the old railings we had on our bi-level type staircase from the basement up into our living room. We initially contacted Artistic Stairs by email to get some ideas of the types of railings they could supply and install. Then one day when we were in Edmonton, we decided to pop into their showroom to see their display models. We were welcomed by Alex, who happened to be the same fellow that we had been in email contact with. He was very knowledgeable, and took the time to explain several things to us, then offered to do up some drawings and provide some quotes on a few different styles that we liked. We received the drawings and quotes in a few days, and eventually made a decision to go ahead with our plan and chose them as our provider. Shortly after, Jon, their site coordinator came out to take exact measurements and survey the job. He was friendly, courteous, everything one would hope for. Within a few days he provided more drawings, this time to scale, and showing the welded steel design that we had chosen, with a few different options for spindles. It took us a few days to solicit opinions from friends and family, and then we made the decision to go with the horizontal square steel spindles! We committed and placed the order. The welded steel design was prefabbed and powder coated at their facility in Calgary. Morgan, their job scheduler arranged for their install Tech, Brett, to come out and finish the project for us. Brett arrived, removed what was left of our our old railings and prepared our staircase area, including installing new maple stringer claddings. His work was amazing. Very precise, and took the time required to prep the area properly for the new railings. He's one of those guys who you can tell is a perfectionist and very proud of his trade! Then the next day he and his helper, Mac, came back to do the actual install. Again, very courteous and professional. End result was exactly what had hoped for and envisioned. Very pleased, and totally satisfied! Right from the first email to the end result, all the Artistic Stair employees we dealt with were exceptional! 5 Stars for this Company! Awesome job! I highly recommend them for any stair or railing project you might have!

Fantastic work on our railings renovation. We worked with Alex in the Edmonton office, who was patient, gave thorough explanations and readily answered all questions, both, in person and on the phone. We would highly recommend Artistic Stairs to others!

Artistic installed our original staircase in 1991. We did a full renovation and wanted the circular stair railing redone. I went back to Artistic and Jim even remembered our builder! The installer assigned to us became ill and Kelsie and Rob did everything they could to make sure our job was completed in a timely manner. We only lost one day and the staircase looks amazing!!!!

So very happy with the new railing and spindles on our stairs. The design by Pieter was a great match with our home decor. Dan was responsible for the installation and was exceptional. He double checked different component options with us and we are very happy with the overall result.
