Cacilia's Bed & Breakfast

Wonderful location but rooms are noisy. CBC on the radio at 530 AM!!! Breakfast was sparse, coffee good but limited, ran out of coffee cream, yogurt and bread for toast at different times throughout our stay. The B&B was fully booked and therefore some forethought on having sufficient supplies would be expected. Cacalia was personable but appeared tired and could use some younger help. The beach is wonderful!

Thank you, Cacilia, for inviting us into your home. Cacilia was wonderful and clearly loves to meet new people and learn about them. She was a wealth of knowledge about the islands and made wonderful breakfasts for us, and was accommodating when the ferry broke and stranded us on the island for two extra days. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and we had a private bathroom with a bidet which was nice. The house is a labor of love and interesting to see. There isn't much around Tlell, and you won't get cell service, which may or may not be a benefit, but Tlell is central to the island which is handy for exploring. There is beach access and hiking trails near Cacilia's, but expect to drive half an hour to reach restaurants.

I had a wonderful stay at Cacilia's Bed & Breakfast. I was there for one week and I enjoyed every moment. If you're looking for a nice quiet place to stay, in between Masset and Queen Charlotte this is your place. About 100 meters from the beach in the Sitka Spruce forest next to Misty Meadows in Tlell, you can leave your rental car and walk to Pesuta, or Misty Meadows or just walk the endless beach. Beside a great location, Cacilia is a wonderful host, and she cooked a delicious breakfast every morning and she is very social and knowledgeable about Haida Gwaii. Remember that Bed & Breakfasts isn't for everyone, you live in someone's home so it's key to respect the host and other guests. I love this way of travelling, I always meet great people to get to know.

A great place to stay and explore Haida Gwaii. Cecilia is a great host she has wifi a beautiful location with a very short walk to a secluded beach, where you can watch wild birds and the sunrise. She offers a breakfast with fresh fruit and waffles and has a wealth of information about different things to do and lots of books to discover more about the island.
