Toronto Arts Academy

I started taking voice lessons at Toronto Arts Academy as an adult student with essentially zero training. While it was something I’ve been wanting to do for myself for a while, I was nervous and worried about feeling self-conscious. From my very first class with Amy, she managed to get me out of my shell and make feel comfortable and confident. I have so much fun in our classes, and feel like I’ve made real, measurable progress in just a few months. Amy has a responsive and adaptable teaching style. She’s extremely good at figuring out new ways to communicate ideas, and figuring out the right approach to make a concept “click” for her students. Her enthusiasm and encouragement are motivating and make it impossible to feel daunted or intimidated by new challenges. Besides working to improve technique, Amy encourages her students to experience singing as an opportunity for creative self-expression and unselfconscious fun. I can’t recommend Amy and the rest of the TAA staff highly enough.

Amazing staff and coaches. My daughter absolutely loves her lessons. There's always extras like group lessons available which is awesome. Whenever the coach will be away, a lot of notice is given and the sub she did have was amazing as well. Will continue with Arts as the progress I've seen in my daughter is priceless.

Adrian is a great guitar teacher. My daughter always looks forward to lessons at Toronto Arts Academy.

My daughter was a bit nervous to sing in front of others but really seemed to enjoy singing. I love how the staff and teachers take the time with my child and always encourage her to try. Emily has been a wonderful singing teacher who knows how to keep my 6 year old interested and engaged. She also understands the needs of my daughter and in result she just loves attending class with Emily.

All of the staff at Toronto Arts Academy are super friendly, helpful, and encouraging. Whether remotely or at the school, it's always nice to interact with everyone.Adrian is an absolutely fantastic guitar teacher. He has a wealth of knowledge and conveys ideas and concepts really effectively. Both Laine and I enjoy our weekly lessons and have a lot of fun. Cannot say enough positive things about Adrian, from his engaging and fun style to his mad guitar skills. Needless to say, we appreciate his patience and positivity as well.

I’ve been going here for singing lessons for about a year with my vocal coach, Alyssa, and I’ve had an amazing experience. I’ve loved singing my whole life and taking lessons here has improved my voice so much and its all thanks to Alyssa!! Even though its just 30 minutes out of my week, she is always prepared and picks the perfect warm ups and songs for my voice! I suggest Toronto Arts Academy for your musical lessons 100%

The staff, both at the front desk and the teacher, are always friendly and helpful. They have been very accommodating about lessons during this most challenging time, and very helpful in answering any questions we had. The teacher we've had is very engaging and patient, and has a very effective teaching style - especially with small children with short attention spans over Zoom. While we haven't had an opportunity to take part in the mulitude of extra group classes being offered so far, I really like the idea of giving kids this extra opportunity to learn about other types of musical learning than the private lessons they are offered. Thank you so much in helping our child get a good start in learning about the fun world of music!

We are very happy to have found Toronto Arts Academy. Staff is very welcoming and professional and my son is very pleased to have drums classes. Best part: the TV with video live, so I can see my son's development. I strongly recommend!!!

My son has been attending Toronto Arts Academy for 2 years since he was 5 and he still loves going here every week to learn piano. The teachers are very talented and patient and they make learning fun! The whole staff is very tentative to the students and they support whatever music goals you want to achieve. My son has improved in many ways, he has more confidence during recitals and his focus in learning just keeps getting better. I highly recommend this school, I have been so inspired that I myself is taking singing lessons, I look forward to going every week to class.

Great music program for all ages. Our son goes to Michael and loves working with him. They offer in-person and online, and you get access to bonus classes and an unlimited number of makeup lessons whenever you miss one of your scheduled ones. Highly recommend this school!
