Cassandra Clinic

I have been attending this clinic for a number of years. I have normally never really had an issue. I was willing to overlook the clinically dry bare white walls and outdated, cold, unwelcoming interior, in order to just get my one or two random issues resolved, as I have needed occasionally. There are two recent issues which are the straws which broke the camel's back. (1) the clinic refused my pharmacy's refill request for an anti-inflammatory drug they had written before, and asked that I come in person when I had only recently had an appt (I forgot to ask for renewal in person at that time) only 2 weeks prior (listen, I've worked in pharmacy over 10 years and this is NOT a big ask); and (2) the doctor did not fulfill my request to be referred to an ENT doctor, even given past surgical history with my ear. Highly recommend going to another clinic where you will (a) feel more welcome, and relaxed when walking in because care has been taken to put some friggin art on the walls, or a communal cp24 screen has been put up for background noise, (b) be treated as a human and not just a walking dollar sign to bill to the govt, and (c) actually get what you are looking for, i.e. a referral to a doctor which your tax dollars literally pay for.

I grew up coming here. There used to be the kindest sweetest Family Doctor who spoke Armenian and Turkish. He has now passed away. Rip. His clients were taken on by other doctors. Great. But the culture of the clinic has changed vastly. The receptionist is extremely aggressive and combative. I had to leave work 2 hours early to get to the clinic and they were 1 hour late for my appointment. When I questioned the situation the receptionist says: “You can walk out and leave” and then “Stay in your room.” What type of service is this? Unbelievable.

If I could give a zero I would. I visited this place 2 years ago, but I will never forget this experience. The most incompetent and unprofessional doctors I have met were from this clinic. Two of them - completely wrong diagnosis, that was later on laughed at at all other clinics. One said I have a tumor in my eye that requires a surgery, the other one told me I just have a pimple on my eye and I invent symptoms(!), while in fact it just was a simple eye infection that required antibiotic. Voila, it’s now long time gone. Also the attitude was not welcoming at all. Sad that such people work in health industry, they should go back to university. Thanks for nothing

This is a great medical centre for walk-in / occasional treatment. Very nice reception staff (and I saw some people being very rude to them, just because the appointments were full). Word to the wise - you need to call them in the morning to book an appointment, they fill up quickly. I like that I don't have to wait hours+ for my appointment, usually it's within a 20 minute window. While I haven't seen the same doctor, and I'm sure I should, I have received good care every time.

I have amazing experience with the clinic. Booking, appointment and stuffs behaviour so kindly and sensetive. Specifically Dr.Bergman and Dr.Fu thank you your patient and attention. Everything is smooth and on the highest level.

The appointments booking ends sometimes by 10:00 am and it is hard to get through to them on the phone. Today, the line was cut off 3 or 4 times while I waited in queue. Wanted to inform the receptionist about it, but she got angry with me, started talking over me before I finished and hung up on me. Wow, what a “professionalism”!!Sometimes they don’t even great you after answering the phone, but right away ask you for your DOB thus displaying very poor customer service and communication skills. A very unpleasant clinic!!

Garbage service. Clearly they feel entitled at the front desk and as a care person...really? Canada, Ontario and clinics do better please. Why we treating our own people like garbage? Free health care for what? When you wait hours and get treated without respect?? This clinic needs to do much better and try better.

Why is this the only walk-in clinic that says no to red/white health cards? The Filipino lady says pay or go renew. I asked, is this the only walk-in clinic that doesn't accept? And she widens eye and says no! -- ugh hello? I've been using this forever and everywhere, lol. Either get the clinic to be updated with software or try to learn how to be a little less entitled when talking to a patient. Let's learn to have manners and smile first, basics.Unfortunately, it is a recommended place to go, but it's definitely better to go elsewhere. Closer is not always better.

Dr. Virgil Huang is exceptional! He is kind and patient! And also the receptionists are very helpful and friendly! I wish I knew this clinic earlier! Overall Fantastic!
