The most wonderful time ever spent in a kitchen! The private and public classes are amazing. Chef Jonathan is incredibly talented, funny and makes things so easy to understand. Welcoming atmosphere (amazing bookstore!). Delicious food and a great chef! If I can give ten stars I would. :) Thank you for a wonderful experience (pre-covid and during covid times too).

A wonderful store! Not only do I find amazing cookbooks, I also get my knives sharpened with their drop off service! I have met authors and had delicious food at book signings, and I have the opportunity to take classes! A business that supports the community with charity events, signings and much more.

This was an incredible experience! The food was very tasty and the ingredients were fresh. Chef Jonathan is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Great place to enjoy an amazing meal with your friends. I would highly recommend for a fun night out with a small group of friends or special occasions. Very satisfied and excited to book again! I booked a private class with seven friends and had a fantastic night.

Love buying my cookbooks here. They have the absolute best selection of books. Why buy from anywhere else, when there is the most fun and supportive staff with such knowledge of the kitchen?Also- I have taken MANY classes at this shop, and it is always a highlight. One of the most exciting activities you can do. You can eat a delicious meal, as well as learn tips and tricks along the way. From my very first class, Jonathan taught me so much, tricks I still use DAILY in my cooking.If you love cooking- go here! If you are looking for a great gift- go here! If you want to plan a nice date night- book a class! Thanks for being the best around.

Always a great time going to AFB and combing through new and classic cookbooks. Staff is easy going and knowledgeable, they always have a great recommendation whether buying for yourself or as a gift. Above and beyond that is the amazing classes Jonathan teaches on select evenings. I would highly recommend getting together a group of friends and indulging!

Absolutely Fantastic experience. John the chef is amazing and makes you feel super comfortable. Everything tonight was fresh tasty! everything that you need out of a meala. Phenomenal local shop that gives back to local community. Vast selection of cookbooks, specialty food books, and all texts culinary related. They can help with special orders for obscure cooking texts too. But the cooking classes, featuring hand-selected cookbooks, are the highlight of the shop. Jonathan (or guest stars) shows the way and divulges tricks of the trade. The classes increased my skills and my confidence cooking for others. Recommend most highly!!

Love this bookstore! During the shutdown the owner was doing weekly online cooking classes. I learned tricks from him and it reignited my love for cooking. Great store to visit, a good variety to choose from, and if they don't have the book you want, they will order it for you. So glad this store managed to survive after the lock down. Shop and support local!
