I've been using Deans for years for everything I've owned. Mercruiser,yammy and omc outboards. Everything.and I've always been happy. They fix it right and I'm back on the water. What I especially like is they are clean. No greasy hand prints all over my boat. Highly recommend.

writing this review to share a very unpleasant experience I had at deans. had $2,500.00 to spend and requested that I be called if repairs were more than that; a couple of weeks later Dean's called. The boat is done. bill is $4,500.00. No call from them at $2,500. this did not turn out at all well. no communication and over charging. Take this as you will.

I went to Dean's Marine May 25th 2020 for a general outboard service on my 20 hp Honda and a quote for some repairs on my 14 foot boat trailer. There was no communication that a quote would cost me a few hours of labour at shop rate. For the two months that my boat was at Dean's I had to call them multiple times asking for updates on the work being done, and they were unable to provide an estimate of cost until days after our request. I finally received an email with a quote from Dean's Marine for the trailer repairs and motor service. To my surprise their quote was much higher than buying a brand new boat trailer at retail. Dean's finally completed the job much later than expected and we were greeted with a bill that was double my budget. Get a written copy of any quotes or work performed as they shred all records in 30 days. When I brought the boat home there was a part from the outboard motor lying in the boat. Once again I had to call Dean's to get them to finish the job at my house. I would highly recommend getting a written statement from Dean's marine before they touch your boat.

I took my boat into Dean Marine June 8th 2017 for a estimate to replace an old 305 inboard motoron my boat with an upgraded 350 motor. I had a horrible experience and thought it would be best to warn others in advance of the lack of customer service I encountered and huge labor cost that was billed to me.The big problems I had were the following:1- I received an estimate back from Dean at the end of May 2017. The labor was estimated for$1940.00 to replace the old motor with a new one using existing parts from my boat. When I was presented with the final bill it was more that 2.5 times MORE than the $1940 quoted!2- I checked in at Dean's shop on 3 different dates and he reassure me that the boat would be ready "for sure" by "this" certain date. These 3 dates came and passed with zero contact back and no finished boat. I finally received our boat back mid August as it took 9 weeks total. To be fair

I've been going to these guys for outboard motors stuff for two years now. They actually have a large inventory of Mercury Outboard motors.I'm happy to buy my next motor from them.

The young lady that helped me I over the phone and text, was extremely helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dean's marine.
