YXE Wood Select

Amazing experience from start to finish! I usually try to throw in a little constructive criticism into these reviews but, I don't have any. I was building my first chess board and didn't really know where to start. Oliver suggested some walnut and maple and addressed all other questions, comments, and concerns I had. Very polite, professional , and knowledgeable. This isn't your typical store buying experience... it's so much more! I won't go anywhere else for my next project.

Oliver is an unbelievably nice guy, and the prices are the best in the city. Highly, highly recommend such an awesome company!

Wonderful experience. Oliver is a great host. He allowed me all the time in the world to look through his stock, and its nice to talk to someone who enjoys woodcraft. Great selection, great price, great small business....highly recommended. He will be my first choice as a local source of wood.

Wonderful experience to find a great new source of lumber for a holiest woodworker. Great selection of materials and some I have been unable to find anywhere in saskatoon such as roasted Birdseye maple. Would highly reccomend.

Excellent selection and the absolute best prices you can find. Oliver has always been super helpful with picking out the right lumber for my projects and has tons of great advice. This is my first go-to for every project and I highly recommend them to every fellow woodworker I've met!

Terrible customer experience!Started off with Oliver calling me Gary on the phone and by message, once I corrected him he did apologize.While talking with him on the phone he mentioned that the shop was located down Valley Road past the city dump.While driving down Valley Road I was unable to find any signs and had to message Oliver for assistance, he asked if I had used Google for directions? I stated no and that I didn't know that was required. Honestly I would have thought that a business would have signage to provide directions for their customers.He did send me a link after I had found YXE Wood Select location by a Google search.Once I arrived and I mentioned that I couldn't find any directions on the website he directed me to the very bottom of the website and pointed at the location pin. Who new you would have to search the entire website to find the businesses actual location?? Plus his comment was 'nobody else has had a issue finding the place before' with a little laugh.When it came time to pay, $22.21, I put done $22 even and he requested a quarter to complete the transaction.Ultimately a terrible experience and honestly should have turned around when I was having difficulty finding the place.Save your time and go elsewhere.
