Below The Belt

We walked into the store this afternoon while there was no customers in the store and 3 associates (2 at cash registers chatting and 1 was changing bust forms). We walked right in front of a male staff who was changing the male bust form and he didn't greet us. He was busy tasking. We then walked towards the cash registers where 1 female associate stood and walked pass in front of us, did not greet us, walked by us and greeted another family who was starting to shop at the denim area. We really felt neglected where all customers were being greet who had just walked in and we were the only one that they chose to NOT to greet. I didn't want to have the same feeling as the customer who commented below but I did feel the same way and would not shop at this location again.

This store is terrible. We were going to buy a bag for my daughter and the staff just ignored us the whole time. If I can give this store a negative star I would!

I went in to order a pair of jeans, they were just plain rude. They said that “we are doing you a favour by ordering these jeans in. You HAVE TO come in right away if we call you tomorrow, do you understand?” And they repeated the same thing again as if I am incapable of understanding English. Their colleague looked over when they heard the way I was talked down to in front of other customers. I was not treated fairly.I understand that usually stores only do same day hold, but they were just being rude, no hello no smile. I’m spending money to get a pair of jeans not attitudes.

My daughters & I went into Below the Belt today at Coquitlam Center & spent at least 20-30 minutes there. There was 3 associates working. Not one came up to us to see if we needed help or even to say hello. I went up to the counter to ask for one of them to check to see if they had another purse in stock that I had found but it was damaged. He told me that they had no more. I asked if another one of their stores had one & as if I was bothering him he checked & told me there was 1 in Victoria. Not offering to have it brought in, just threw the bag on the counter. The worst part was when we went to buy the items 2 of the sales associates stood there talking to each other, about personal issues. It was as if we were bothering them. I’m not one to leave reviews but the staff left us all feeling like we or our money was not wanted. We spent $100’s there & I feel like returning everything. Needless to say I will never go back. Btw we were the ONLY customers in the store. BELOW THE BELT: stores are going out of business at a rapid pace, you may want to hire employees that care so you’re not next.

Went in to look at clothes at this location yesterday. Despite being very quiet in the store with few customers, not one of the three associates looked at me, greeted me or asked if they could help in any way. The staff needs customer focus training…after all, isn’t that the whole point of their job? Will not be back.

I had 3 wonderful ladies help me at their main store and at their pop up store. Without their help I wouldn’t have been able to find bags I needed for my bridesmaid proposals! I don’t have their names, but I really appreciate all their help and kindness. I also wanted to mention that, I myself am Asian and I didn’t feel in anyway that any of the staff were racist to me or any customers who were Asian in the store. I hope people don’t think that’s actually an issue here! There are a lot of young staff who work here, and some people can’t multi-task. They have one dedicated greeter who says hi to everyone who enters, which is great! The manager is reading reviews, is being proactive and actually doing something about it!

It started off well enough I think. Many greeters , in fact it became annoying. Finally I allowed one to take my item to the desk as I was starting to feel like I was being observed because I had a backpack. When I went to pay I was ignored by the girl on till as she was on a phone order, (could have acknowledged me) and I couldn’t tell if the other male member worked there or not because he was engaged with his friend- that is until he went behind the counter to check out his friends purchase all the while , I stood by the counter clearly needing assistance. I finally just walked away. I get that it’s a retail job but I don’t like being made to feel because I’m carrying a back pack I’m obviously trying to steel something, or being harassed then ignored.

When I left this shop, the anti-theft system was flashing, one female sales stopped me and wanted to check my bag. For sure, I showed my bag to her. After she check my bag she didn’t say any apologies for this misunderstand. And I still remember at the same time, another customer left the shop the anti theft system was flashing, but this staff didn’t have any reaction. Are you a racism? Sorry man you got Chinese so wrong and not every Chinese will choose silence.

During my recent visit to this location, I had one of the best experiences in recent memory in a customer service setting. I was greeted immediately when I walked in, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure they found what I was looking for. I even ended up purchasing some items that I didn’t necessarily think I needed until the staff were able to show me the variety of options when it comes to accessorizing my outfit. I will for sure be visiting this location in the future. Props to the staff for being great ! And carrying such a great quality of clothing

Poor management with poorly trained staff. I went into get a pair of jeans. I was informed that the jeans I wanted can be transferred to the store. But when I came up to the cash to give them my contact information, I was treated with disrespect. Today they contacted me to inform me that the jeans have arrived, when I mentioned that I won’t be coming in because how I was treated, the person on the phone immediately got defensive and tried to argue that they don’t usually transfer items for customers, I can understand that if I was informed about this before they took my contact information. Train your staff better. Thanks.
