I would not recommend QuickBooks for a small business. When I purchased this program I had very specific needs, I wanted to be able to....on a quarterly basis run a report to capture total expenses paid, total sales and GST, PST & QST collected and paid. I was told the program could do this noooooo problem! I can’t even tell you how excited I was to hear this. I did my first run at this October 1- December 31, 2019.Today, April 5th, 2020, I was attempting to set up a new report for January 1 - March 31, 2020.I was challenged in doing so and attempted to us their On-line Help. I keyed in my question and nothing came up.I decided to use their Chat. The first person told me it couldn’t be done, then said I would have to run a report to get what I wanted but I would have to go through each vendor and then do my own totals.She clearly did not understand that I wanted to create a new report, just kept telling me to run a report.(clearly if I’m asking how to set up the report, there is no report to run) The person said it could not be done.I then asked for a refund, was told they could only do refund it for April. I asked to speak to a manager because the first person clearly did not understand my business need and that I was promised something that was not possible.The manager came onto the chat and kept referring to running a custom report for the period in time I wanted. Clearly the “manager” not understanding or had she/he read my previous chat with the call centre person. I wanted to set up a new report so that I could enter this quarters info.... simply right? Well holy cow..... the manager was super condescending, rude and was a complete smart $&$. Kept referring to running a report, totally frustration I felt like screaming “ what report” I haven’t entered anything to run a reportThey will not give me a refund, their staff are not at all knowledgeable about the needs of a small business and to boot, rude and condescending.Would strongly recommend not paying the monthly fee for this, they tell you the program will deliver the moon and star but bellyflops when the rubber hits the road!
