Au Pied de Cochon
Disappointed with the food. We got the oysters (great appetizer), Foie Gras Poutine (pretty good but slightly overpriced), and finally the duck in the can.Duck in the can is overly overhyped, unflavoured and overpriced. For $60 I was expecting something exceptional. We got a nice show and hard duck breast. The cabbage was not that good and the meat was hard and unsalted.Maybe different strokes different folks but my 2nd time at Au Pied was a big disappointment.

Had a fantastic evening with a friend for a special occasion. The service was above and beyond. All of the recommendations were fabulous. We had the foie gras Nigiri, salad and aged pork chop with sea snails. Paired with the perfect wines and the bartender’s mixology expertise made the evening memorable. Soo fun!!

I'd say I'm a pretty small guy (skinny and short even for an Asian fellow) who doesn't eat much more than he needs to most of the time. But all I can say about this place is that while their shepherd's pie is meant to be shared between two (there are two spoons given meaning it is meant for two people if my preschool education does not fail me,) I quite heartily took my time to finish the entire pot that it was served in.Another notable dish would be the duck in a can, whose presentation is so far the most unique thing I've ever seen a restaurant do in my life. It tastes quite good too I suppose....

Service was incredible and food was above and beyond! Our favorite meal in Montréal. Ask for the server’s personal favorites to get great recs. Strawberry granita for a dessert should not be skipped!

The food here was delicious as everyone hyped it!We got the special: tomato tart. It was probably the highlight of the meal! So glad we ordered it.The rest of the dishes were great.

First time here at the restaurant. The service was great and I love appetizers. We had duck tartare were amazing. The main dish was a bit disappointed. I was looking forward for duck in a can but the dish is just too much oil. I can’t even finish the plate. I wish is less oil. The duck was a bit hard to cut it with the knife that they gave. Overall it was alright.

Completely worth the hype. Had the foie gras poutine and the duck in a can to share. We were very full from this! The dishes weren't too heavy and just great flavours and cooked perfectly. I have never experienced such incredible service. We never had to fill our own cups with water and had our table wiped down multiple times and felt well attended to.

Amazing experience, the duck in a can and foie gras poutine were out of this world. The pork chops were okay but not exceptional. Service was among the best I've ever had, serious thanks to the whole staff for being genuinely welcoming!

This restaurant was highly recommended to us so we went their but just realized soon that it wasn’t worth of that much hype. They don’t explain much about any dish and the waiting time is too much.We tried their Duck Foie gras poutine and Aged Pork Chop. The Poutine was good but the Aged pork chop not so much. I think it’s only specialty is Duck Foie gras poutine.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food and the service were excellent. We had the Duck Temaki, Salt & Maple Sugar Fries, and the Duck in a Can. Everything was high quality and the presentation was beautiful. The Duck in a Can is a large enough portion for you to share with someone for your meal. This place is popular, so I recommend making a reservation before going on your vacation like we did.
