Pizza was great, nice thin dough, generous toppings, and good size.It was busy, the service was okay. The servers seem to be trying their best, but it seems like their having trouble catching up with the demand.

Delicious pizza, very simple pepperoni that was huge . We had the caprese salad and it was good. Our server, excellent. The gelato was lovely ..lemon was tart! Raspberry and strawberry trio. Delsih.

The most delicious pizza in Ottawa, hands down! The dough is perfect and crispy, the traditional way! The flavours and cheese were awesome. The size is huge and the price is so reasonable. The service however, needs improving. Once the waiter takes your order, they seem to disappear and never check up on you unless you chase them down. Do expect a long wait time for your order, but once you get it it's worth it.Ps, I put my hand on the plate so you can get an idea of how large this calzone is.

The food is great but the service is just weird. It’s like the servers did not understand us and looked constantly confused and lost, they were quite slow too. But the food made it all worth it.

Ordered the Antipasto Di Mara, Zingara pizza, Petto Di Pollo Al Limone (chicken with a beautiful lemon sauce) and Tiramisu. Everything was fresh and delicious.The service was exceptional! A big thank you to Kyna! She was pleasant, with a big bright smile and this added to the experience. Thank you Kyna for checking on us at appropriate times to make sure that all was going well! This eatery is lucky to have you. Keep the beautiful smile!

The service was abysmal. We came in for brunch and ordered two breakfast dishes and a drink. We waited 30min for us to get menusand another 15 to receive our drink. It was over a 1hr15 to receive our food. They had also already served a table that got there much later then us.The eggs on both dishes were burnt. They offered to cook us new eggs but the service was terrible we were not going to wait anymore. The drink was comped because they took so long to bring to our table.In all, the service and food was not worth the wait.

I saw a comment on Reddit saying that this was the best pizza in Ottawa, so, being a pizza connoisseur myself I had to go see what the hype was all about. The four of us ordered one margherita pizza to share since we weren’t very hungry. The pizza was BIG and the pieces were nice and foldable. The pizza was very tasty and had the perfect ratio of crust, sauce, and cheese. I like how the dough is both crispy and light but also slightly chewy at the same time, it’s not dense at all. I wish there was a bit more basil on top but that is a minor complaint. 5 stars for the food but knocked a star down because the service was unfriendly.

Great experience at Del Piacere.This restaurant is located in the heart of Ottawa's little Italy. The servers are very friendly and attentive. We loved the red wine suggestions. The plates are beautifully presented as you can see in my photos.We ordered four cheese gnocchi, carbonara spaghetti and pizzas Marguerite and Romana. Marvelous food. We had desert creme brule and tiramisu. These are perfect if paired with an Italian espresso coffee.It's definitely a five Stars restaurant.

Lucked out and found a real gem on Preston St during Tulip Festival, just a short walk from Commissioner's Park and Dow's Lake. Made to order, wood-fired breakfast calzone was amazing, topped with fresh tomato sauce, olive oil, and fresh arugula, side of fresh fruit. Generous portion, enough to leave with an afternoon snack, very reasonable price. Definitely will be back. Grazie!

Ordered second pizza on the menu. Authentic Italian wood oven pizza for a good price. Fresh ingredients. They are too busy, thus service not the best. I see lots of bad review on Victoria Day. I was there just few days ago on Victoria day, I saw the group of people came in to sit down the same time we came in and they were asked to leave without food after we finished our food. I heard something like “the kitchen is not even ready yet”. Yes the service was not great, but I understand that they were overwhelmed that day. It took a while for initial service and we ordered one pizza, it did take a while to arrive as well. The table next to mine also had to wait for their food but looks like they eat there often. They had to turn down many people coming in as well at dinner time. The ice cream were nearly all empty. I understand the bad reviews, but the same time I also have sympathy for the stuff working that day.
