Tried some dishes here tonight. The food was amazing, curry chicken and jerked chicken were sooo good, also loved the meat pies. The owners are super welcoming and friendly. Check it out!

AMAZING food!. Love to support a local and was not disappointed. Food had fantastic flavours and was so tender. You may have call ahead because they prepare daily with fresh ingredients. We had Chicken Curry, Jerk pork as well as beef and fish patties. Cindy was our waitress and she was such a ray of sunshine. She was able to give advice/ recommendations on the meals as well as some Jamaican food history. Also got to meet her dad who is the cook to give our complements to the chef. No photos because we ate it so fast.

We tried the jerk chicken and curry chicken— both were really tasty. The meals came with festival rolls which we also really enjoyed. The host was very sweet and attentive. Glad to see a new restaurant in Gander. Will definitely be back to Kool Reggae :)

My experience here couldn't have been worse. I came in and there was only one person in line to order before me. The food still took over an hour to be ready. Rather than inform me of the wait the cook... or owner continued to string me along in 10 to 20 minute intervals. When the food was finally ready it looked nothing like the photos on he menu at all. I did not take the food and instead requested a refund which to their credit the restaurant did give. They also gave me the beef patties I had ordered on the house. While this was a kind gesture, given the circumstances it was too little too late. The beef patties themselves being the only thing I ate were bland without any sort of jamaican" flavoring at all. I will not be returning to this location."

We were looking for something different to eat on our drive through to the ferry, and saw this place on Google. Food was awesome, great jerk chicken and great curry chicken, both had lots of flavour, very well done

The curry chicken patty was delightful and the atmosphere is calming enough to sit down and eat. A definite revisit on our next tour!

The fried rice was flavourful and the pineapples had a sweet surprise! The curry was also good and had no bones !!!

Fantastic restaurant! The family that owns it is very friendly and quick to please the customer. Food is top notch, all home cooked meals everyday. Highly suggest stopping in for a meal whenever you're through Gander!

Vegetarians/vegans not welcome.I came here today to ask what type of veg options this restaurant has and spent several minutes being told that it is a waste to have those kinds of things in stock because they don't sell well, despite the menu and signs outside offering no meat" dishes.While it's not at all surprising to me that this is the case in central Newfoundland
