Great, classic shop. Astounding selection. I feel like I just spend days wandering through.The website is old, and a pain in the butt to use. The location has no parking.But...man, they have character. And knowledge. And excellent staff with superb customer service skills.Worth the trip downtown.

Staff is nice and helpful, but I was doing my taxes this weekend and I realised that they are actually charging more tax than they should. It says 5% GST/HST and 7% PST on the invoice but when I calculated it, it was three cents extra than what it should be. And I am not talking about rounding up from .90 to 10, which also shouldn't be round up if you pay with debit card. I checked the other invoices and all of them are like that.I get it, three cents are not a big deal but to me the intention is important, and I hate being lied to or ripped off whatever the amount of money is. I am so not going back there.

had some awareness of this business.... finally went to buy some cold enamel. could not be happier with Lacy West customer service or the cold enamel (may get rid of most of my other paints)... only complaint is traffic/parking near store (which staff pointed out BEFORE i came to the store... partially temporary situation due to road construction).. maybe park closer to BC Place stadium. get in/out much easier.

Yes, the recent poor reviews are true. I'd just walked into store, the lady came behind desk annoyed and asked what I wanted. I'd said Gemoro master set. She asked what is that?" I thought it's ok to work for an employer and may not know your products. I replied "it's for diamond grading" she looked annoyed and rolled her eyes and said Gemoro sells alot of products. So I pulled up the product on their website to show her on my cell. (Gemoro only carried 2 sets) I couldnt stand her any more. I walked out and decided to buy elsewhere. Online shopping is always available in today's world."

Always liked the service at lacy west in the past years ,but the new workers seem pretty racist against first nations people, I took my fiance's uncle there to get supplies to start up jewelry making and the 2 female workers left a bitter taste from the experience! Steve the long time employee was a joy as always a class act !

I've purchased my Grobet Jewellers bench, and multiple tools and I've always been happy with my purchases. Its nice to have a local" shop (I live in Victoria) that carries items that are often hard to find unless you're buying online. And the shipping has been in my experience
