honestly, it’s quite amazing, full of nature, fun in the winter for the skating and great in the summer for picnics or walks. too bad the food shack is gone. lots of animals to be seen. even has a few parks for kids.

Camping here currently, came just before Canada day and didn't want to leave, so here till the 20th of July now. Big get away feel with all the amenities of everyday life extremely accessible. Friendly staff in the Lorne Calvert campground, parks all around, kms of walking/biking trails, canoe and kayak rental, occasional local food trucks, and the snow but for all your ice cream needs!! What else is needed!!!!

Beautiful outdoor space ! Really expanded my perspective of Moose Jaw. I was looking for a place to go for a run and discovered this space. Really a fantastic place to go for a run amongst the large trees and quiet spaces. A few areas with playgrounds along the trails too. Really worth going to.

We stopped at the Tourism Center and inquired if there were any good trails around and were directed to Wakamow Valley. This park is massive! Tons of space for recreation, areas for bird watching and even a canoe rental place on the river. The trails we took were pretty well maintained - better than I thought considering the parks size - and had great signs so you know you wouldn’t get lost.

The service at the camp is friendly, but hookups are horrible and have incorrect sides. The manager does not have any idea how to run it…and blames clients for it. The way I was treated by the manager is not acceptable. Even if mentioned that will be long term ( the end of the season) the treatment is not fair. She’s not willing to provide a summary of the dates payments, credits, or lot numbers ( I was moved twice in 3 weeks) and when mentioned that a new lot number have be provided I receive the email with all future cancellations attached. Make sure you did not provide a credit card number, other ways they will charge up to their discretion…Donna is a rude, reckless person without any borders, customer service, or management skills…The lawn is not looked after, even if you have free wood, is not delivered, on-site personnel is totally lost if come to payments, amounts and dates ( stop by twice in the on-site office and can not get any answers in respect to the credit or payments...They charge my credit card without hesitation or explanation were final invoice with the dates, charges, payments, and credits were requested several times. Not recommendedI am attaching an email forwarded by Donna ByePlease be advised any future bookings are now cancelled. In addition, the balance owing on site 77 is $569.00, please pay at the campground office or over the phone.Thank you for your cooperation.

Regarding the campground: I left some solar powered lights out to charge while we were packing up the RV and accidentally left them behind. I called multiple times and left voice mails and an e-mail asking them if they could send them to me by mail a couple provinces over. Obviously said I’d cover the cost.I never got a reply. It’s not that the lights are expensive or anything, it’s just not right. The campground itself was nothing to write home about, and no one was in the office when we arrived, or when we left the next day. I never saw one staff member.
