Colonel By Secondary School

Best high school in Ottawa. The teachers are really great, for the most part, and of course this school offers the IB program, which makes it great for those seeking academic excellence. By far though, the best thing about this school is the culture. The almost absurd amount of clubs that you can join and participate in, the fact that all the students can complain together about how their school feels like a prison, the hilarious existence that is Cougar Vision - all these things come together to make what I believe to be the best high school experience you can get in this city. As of writing this, the only other IB school in the city is Merivale, and quite frankly, despite the fact that my bus ride would take half an hour less if I went there, there's absolutely no reason for which that school should be considered superior. All in all, I'm now stressed about my EE and CAS. 10/10

Mutual respect between teachers and students, you really can't ask for more than that. There's great curriculum in IB and it's a worthwhile experience, but drop out if you're sacrificing too much. And most people are, especially in grade 12.

Strong academic credentials school. Has the only IB program in Ottawa making the school very academically rigorous and competitive. Apart from excessive amount of students (The school runs at over 100% capacity) I highly recommend sending your kid here!

Awesome school great layout. Diverse libraries. I'm 179 IQ points and this school stimulated my brain greatly. I had great teachers to learn about math, English, geography and especially science. Great sports teams. I'd say one of the greatest schools in Ottawa. 60% of my peers have there own homes. taught me about health and science that i needed in my life. Overall i have lived threw this school had no bullies' and benefited from the knowledge this school had to offer. Its way better then Gloucester

A fine high school with wonderful facilities, great academics and fabulous facilities. The current staff are excellent. One of the top schools in Ottawa.
