Meadowvale Animal Clinic

I have been visiting Meadowvale Animal Clinic as well as its joint Hospital (Glen Erin Animal Hospital) for over four months now with my kitten, Sophia for her appointments. She has been seen by Dr. Julie Denstedt at every appointment. I have so many positive things to say about this veterinary business, but above all else is the amazing service and thoughtful care that Dr. Denstedt provides to Sophia. Dr. Denstedt is highly accessible, engaged and provides a thorough overview of the medical assessment and takes the time to talk through the treatment options and associated costs. She is a great listener, and you can tell that she really cares. One thing that I thought was quite unique about the clinic was that after Sophia had been spayed, Sophia received a 'Certificate of Courage'. How sweet! The clinic staff are also very professional and friendly over the phone. They really do go the extra mile and I feel extremely reassured knowing that should Sophia fall ill, trusted help is only a phone call away. I would highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Denstedt to any pet owner.

If you want a kind and caring vet who is patient, thorough and an absolute star - you need to bring your pets to Dr. Julie Denstedt. Julie was an absolute gem when she met and treated our two new kittens. Both myself, my boyfriend, and my kittens absolutely adored her - I have never had a vet go so out of their way to treat my animals and answer all my questions.Thank you Julie, there is no other vet I would rather have to take care of my two little guys :)

Dr. Jen was amazing worh my cat Ginger. She was very informative and made me feel so comfortable. Highly recommend this clinic for all pets!!So warm and friendly!!

My first time here. usually I go to another vet but they were all booked. Dr. Julie was so empathetic, gentle, professional, kind and informed. My senior dog is almost 19 years old and Dr. Julie treated him with so much care. She did not push any unnecessary shots or procedures. She respected the stage he was at and what would be best for our dog. We got the necessary meds our dog needed and we are so glad we came to see her. She truly eased our worries. Thank you!

I was recommended to this clinic and I was so impressed. My dog hates to be examined and needs to be very sedated but they were able to get a muzzle on him, which had never been accomplished by other vets, calm him down and examine him.They have taken what has always been a very traumatic experience for me and my dog into a much more manageable time without any sedation and additional expense.

I am writing this negative review to warn others about my terrible experience with Meadowvale Animal Clinic and Glen Erin Animal Hospital. If you care about your pets, please do not take them to this clinic.In my opinion, Dr. Jen Thompson is extremely money-driven, and her team is quite incompetent in animal care handling, especially for senior dogs. They suggested unnecessary tests and diagnostics, even when I had a complete and updated medical record from just two days before. However, to charge more money, they quickly recommended surgery for my senior dog, Sophie, even though other vets advised against it due to a low chance of survival. Thankfully, we did not go through with it, but unfortunately, it was still an extremely tough time for my family and me to cope. It took some time for me to gather my thoughts and write this review objectively.We brought Sophie to this clinic for a second opinion on September 22, 2022, and I am thankful that it was not her primary clinic but was utterly shocked by the treatment she received here. The clinic was greedy and impatient and provided false diagnoses to run tests and make more money. The level of aggression and stress Sophie experienced at this clinic was unbelievable. I must also mention that several dogs were barking and howling in the back, and it sounded like they were in pain.Sophie was never the same after this visit, and her health severely deteriorated. She was extremely stressed from the handling and treatment at this clinic that all signs of recovery that were present before her visit went away. Our beloved Sophie crossed the rainbow bridge a week later, on October 01, 2022, in peace, surrounded by her family.I am writing this review on behalf of Sophie to urge others to avoid this awful clinic. The kind of treatment she received was unbecoming and not what any pet owner should have to experience. Please take your pets elsewhere for their health and well-being.

Absolutely beautiful clinic. My dad took our cat here for the last 17 years and they gave amazing service and treated us with so much kindness. Our cat sadly passed recently and they were there to help my dad through it. They even sent my dad a plant after which has meant more to him then I can put into words. The people here are amazing. I would highly recommend bringing your pet here. They truly care.

They did a spectacular job with our dog, Amigo. We will never forget this.
