Cowan Fields

New climbers. Splash pad. Many baseball diamonds. All new. Warning! There are no trees for shade. There is a pavilion that is decent sized, but if a party is happening there is nowhere else nearby to get out of the sun. Washrooms at the pavilion.

Very tranquil and well maintained, perfect to bring the kids or to walk around with your dog.

After needing a ball complex for so long it's hard not to love Cowen Fields. The diamonds are great, the park isn't to crammed with lots of open space, ample parking and plenty for the kids to do. Being able to host tournaments has been a real great thing for the Slo-Pitch leagues.

Fields are well taken care of, grass is green and flat. Infield and warning track is clay and always raked. Nice large dugouts and backstops. Had a tournament on a hot Saturday in mid September and the food shack was closed. The splash pad is very nice and always busy. A little heads up, don't park along the first row, close to diamond #1

The diamonds seem to be missing a score board of any sort. Very little in terms of shaded areas other than the canteen which consists of a concrete pad, walk up window/kitchen and several cement and wood plank picnic tables that are far from view of the diamonds. The bathrooms are too far for anyone involved in a game to benefit from one on the sly. They can be found behind the kitchen/canteen. I was told the diamonds are brand new which gives reason, I guess, to most of these issues. Even still, the property is surrounded mostly by corn fields and not much else. I can't imagine this area maturing into anything more than what it already seems to be which, in my opinion, is an ok place to play ball, but not a great place to watch it.

Splash pad was great, lots of stuff to spray at each other... playground was lots of ropes, a bit too hard for my 2 year old but perfect for my 4 year old.

The spray pad is a good place for little ones on a hot day and there's a playground next to it.

A great park with amazing ball diamonds. I don't even play yet I'm rather impressed!! Nice picnic area, play equipment, and paved walking paths. Lots of parking too.
