Murchie's Fine Tea & Coffee - Hillside

Delicious coffee and pastries, friendly staff especially the manager Emily she was so sweet and helpful. Don’t know what all these one star reviews about the staff are all about. I assume it’s people who act curt to employees and are surprised when they get the same energy back lol. You aren’t royalty because you went shopping.

My favorite Murchies location!! The team always welcomes me with a smile and a great conversation. Kristen made my iced latte to perfection. I will definitely be back soon!

Really great place! I wish all places I have been here in Canada had this kind of treatment with their customers! We went there yesterday late afternoon, October 1st, the lady made a great double shot espresso, delicious, I had to ask another one! Also, so good was the service that I took some Murchie's dark roast coffee home! I hope you keep up the good work and great service!

This morning I had the best cappuccino I’ve had in a long time, thanks to barista Willem, and to Bella for the teas. Strong coffee, with just the right amount of frothy milk.If you’re from these parts, you’ll be familiar with the name of Murchie’s, which is synonymous with high-quality coffees and teas.The Government Street location in downtown Victoria has been around for decades, while this location at the Hillside mall is newer, much smaller, but still offers a great selection of coffee, tea, cups, mugs, and all things both “Murchie’s-style” and Victoria-style itself.The store is bright and well-laid out, with an attractive store-front in the mall. Plan to spend a good 10 to 15 minutes there browsing all of the merchandise and leave with a great coffee or tea in hand. Directly outside the Murchie’s doors are tables and chairs to enjoy your refreshments.Don’t miss any of the Murchie’s locations if you’re in Victoria. It’s been a staple for what seems like forever.

There is nothing like an Americano when you wake up from bed or after the gym. The staff are all friendly and I go there every day.

Very unfriendly service today. I came in because i regularly buy tea at Murchies and wanted to buy some of a new Yuzu Grey. When i asked about it the staff member was very unfriendly and curt. Then i asked the price and he looked at the bottom of the sample and said $50/lb. I thought that was very high and later saw online the price is actually $36.95/lb. I didn't buy any because i could tell he thought i was an inconvenience to him as he started ignoring me. It was very sad. What happened to treating customers with respect and friendliness?

A wonderful tea shop with a wide variety of both affordable and high end teas. Such a lovely atmosphere, quite charming. Kristen is the best tea barista I have ever seen and makes a mean Victoria fog.
